The raffle for the Diwali celebration on November 8th is live! 🎟️ Get your tickets now for a chance to win gift cards to local businesses, homemade chutney from Shanta Nimbark Sacharoff, books, treats, branded merch, and more. Tickets can be purchased through Venmo (Sunset Mercantile) and make sure to include your name, contact info, and “Diwali” in the description. 1 ticket for $5 and 5 tickets for $20!

The raffle for the Diwali celebration on November 8th is live! Get your tickets now for a chance to win gift cards to local businesses, homemade chutney from Shanta Nimbark Sacharoff, books, treats, branded merch, and more. We’re all about the special events this fall so we’re extra excited to announce that our Diwali celebration returns to the farmers market on November 8! This year, we’re partnering with the community to host the fourth annual Diwali celebration from 9am to 2pm, the only outdoor Diwali event on San Francisco’s west side. Stop by to see why it’s becoming a fall tradition among Outer Sunset residents.

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, marks the victory of light over darkness and has been celebrated by millions of people worldwide for thousands of years since its origins in India. This year’s celebration brings that spirit to life with a chutney-making demonstration, a henna booth, Indian crafts and textile displays at the Artship, rangoli and diya decorating, chai sampling, Indian treats, a yoga workshop, and live music.

Come by for produce, food, music, treats, cultural performances and demos, plus so much more! We’ll have everything you expect from the Outer Sunset Farmers Market and Mercantile as well as amazing extras for this important holiday celebration. Find us at 37th Ave and Pacheco from 9am to 2pm every Sunday, rain or shine.

We love letting everyone know about the fantastic and unique vendors that make the Outer Sunset Farmers Market and Mercantile so special. This week, we’re highlighting The Daisy Refillery (The Daisy Refillery | Sustainable Products + Refills ), a mobile refill shop with a focus on sustainable products for a sustainable future.

After quitting her job as a software engineer, Karen decided to open up The Daisy Refillery, a 100% electric mobile refill shop, to address the lack of access to sustainable products in her community. “Unfortunately, single-use plastic is everywhere. You cannot get away from it,” Karen says. “The hope is that The Daisy Refillery will address some of this frustration by providing access to household care and personal care products that are FREE of single-use plastic, all while introducing the concept of refilling to everyone!”

You can come find The Daisy Refillery at the Outer Sunset Farmers Market every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month with their sustainable household care and personal care products and refills. Don’t forget to bring your bags and containers!

For the first time since 2021, yoga is back at the Outer Sunset Farmers Marker & Mercantile! Huge thanks to our wonderful instructor and partner, Avril (Avril | Yoga Teacher | Lifestyle & Stress Management Coach) for creating such a sweet space next to the market this morning.

What better way to start a Sunday than some movement, stretching, deep breaths, and sound healing, followed by fresh produce, delicious food, live music + everything else the market has to offer?

Yoga with Avril is every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 9am on the greenway. FREE but donations are very welcome and appreciated! See you next time on October 18 🌱

It’s officially Halloween season! This year, the farmers market is having our very own Halloween celebration on Sunday, October 25th from 9am to 2pm. We’ll be hosting a costume contest, trick or treating through the market, spooky arts and crafts at the ArtShip, and tons of other fun themed activities. Stop by to shop, play, eat, and get into the Halloween spirit!

A farmers market featuring music, handmade items, arts, games, free yoga, AND live demos from food vendors with samples? Does such a market exist?!

We’re bringing more and more activities and special events to the Outer Sunset Farmers Market and Mercantile every month. Aside from all the usual fare of amazing local produce, delicious prepared goods, and fan-favorite food trucks, we’ve also got an upcoming demo on koji presented by Aedan Fermented Foods (Aedan Fermented Foods ). Koji is a Japanese fermentation culture that transforms grains and beans into like miso, soy sauce, and so many other ingredients that a lot of us in San Francisco use regularly. Learn all about this practice and pick up some Aedan Fermented Foods products to try out on your own.

Join us on October 11th at 11am for the koji demo right at Aedan Fermented Foods booth. Limited samples provided. Check out their site for more info on their classes, history, products, and even recipes!
