We will be closed starting today. With the growing concern of covid-19 and it's merciless attitude, we decided to close our retail business for the next week or so. Our staff and our community is our top priority. We must do our part to "flatten the curve".

Chinese New Year is less than a week away. We are busy, busy, busy at the store. On the home front, we are also busy, busy, busy preparing. And when we say “busy”, it usually means WE ARE PREPARING FOOD.... cause food is life.

Does your family eat dried persimmons during Lunar New Years? We do. We love them so much we usually set aside a full case just for ourselves. But why do we eat persimmons? Persimmons are native to China and its basically grown everywhere, from Guangdong all the way up, up, up North. They taste the best during New Years. But why persimmons? Folklore says, persimmons are good luck. I’ll be eating more persimmons.

Chinese people love ginseng. I don’t blame them. It’s promotes energy, help circulate chi, improve s*x life, battle ED, regenerate skin, boost memory, benefit brain function....and has properties to battle cancer.
