Ever wondered where our name Oink & Oscar came from? 🐷👤
It’s a nod to San Francisco’s history — inspired by “Oink” and “Oscar,” the clever dummy heads created by Alcatraz escapees John and Clarence Anglin back in 1962. These realistic decoys, made from soap, cement, and even real hair, fooled the guards into thinking the prisoners were still asleep.
We loved the mix of creativity, ingenuity, and that bit of SF legend — so we brought it into our name. Just like that story, we’re all about clever ideas, local history, and a touch of bold flavor. 💥
Come by and taste a piece of San Francisco spirit!
