The Secret Garden gates have reopened! Our current shop hours are Thursday thru Monday 11am to 5pm. Some basic changes to our usual tea dance have been made to establish a safe, healthy, sustainable new routine for all. We’ve put some TLC into the shop over the past few weeks, and created a couple serene chill out spots for you to hang out with the garden plants if we are busy serving other customers. Call-in orders are still welcomed and appreciated, we’ve found this helps save you time and allows us flexibility in managing our sales flow. We are beyond grateful for all of our online customers too and want you to know how important you are in helping us thrive and grow! Thank you so much for your love and support during this time, we hope to give it right back through the quality and intention of the products and service we provide. What goes around comes around. We strive to hold a healing place in your community, your tea cupboards, and in your daily healthy habits. Feel free to call or email us with any communications. Hello Tea & Herb Lovers 🌱
UPDATE on the status here at the Secret Garden. In light of the SLO county Emergency Order to shelter in place, our company is deemed an Essential Business and will continue to stay open with Minimum Basic Operations.
Our modified hours are Thursday thru Sunday 11am to 5pm for phone ahead/pickup orders only. In order to comply with Social Distancing Requirements, our store will not be open to the public at this time. We welcome your orders via phone 805.544.4372 and you can pick up your package at our garden gates. All pickup orders will receive a FREE OUNCE of our tea of the day! Due to our unique location we are unable to accommodate curbside delivery. Best parking is found near the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art and The History Center Of SLO. Access the store via the creek bridges near Novo patio or Bliss Cafe (both restaurants are open for take out btw).
Our online store is open full time with free shipping to all of our local SLO county customers! Thank you for all of your recent orders, we appreciate you!!
A little reminder for all those home cooked meals you are creating, we have a full inventory of delicious herbs, spices and spice blends in the store! These are available via phone order & we are working to make them available online soon. We also offer custom tea blends so feel free to call us with your special requests!

Greetings Tea and Herb Lovers, our Secret Garden team wishes everyone health and well being during these unique and challenging times. COVID-19 has impacted everything in our lives and has left us with many uncertainties. I have faith that we will get through this, that the changes we are making to our lifestyles now will bring a renaissance of creativity, where more simple living will help heal our deeper cultural wounds and bring much needed balance to our environment and planet.
Our downtown garden gates are closed temporarily for normal business operations to limit contact and protect the health and safety of our staff and customers. However, we are still mixing and packaging tea at our local warehouse & blending facility, so our online store is active! FREE SHIPPING for $25+ orders for all of our SLO county customers. We are working to include more items from our retail store (your requests and suggestions are welcome). We are also working to implement phone-in/pick up and curbside delivery service, more details to come.
These challenges are exactly what herbalism is meant to support, encouraging a strong foundation of personal health awareness, providing preventative self care resources and cultivating a nourishing connection with nature.
