Beranek Farm & Vineyard w/photography services We are a family farm and vineyard with both a farmer's market and a CSA business. We also have a Customer Supported Agriculture (CSA) business.

We grow lots of vegetables in our gardens, which we then sell at local farmer's markets in the summer. Besides vegetables, we also have 2 acres of grapes. Our vineyard contains 3 wine grapes (Frontenac Gris, LaCrescent & Marquette) and 2 edible grapes (Sommerset and Himrod). We have many other kinds of fruits as well. Our chickens give us lots of farm fresh eggs each day. We like using a lot of o

ur garden produce for canning as well - making dill pickles, spicy dilly beans, salsa, spaghetti sauce and our famous (and very popular) wine jelly!

Although I grew up in a rural area with farms and ranches surrounding me, I knew nothing about farmers except their names. However, I began writing about farmers and ranchers in Kansas approximately three years ago and I want to share what I have learned.

This was last weekend’s grape 🍇 picking! Only 10 people came (that included the four of us) so we were out there most of the day. It was a beautiful, balmy 60 degrees with occasional sun 🌞 So, perfect weather actually. We got more off this one type of grape than we got off the other two combined! This one gave us 3,937 lbs.

Since everything was late this year because of all the rain, it is hard to believe we already need to pull the onions!! A couple weeks early!! Tasty - and the best part is, some will last for 9 months when stored in a cool, dry basement!
