That's a wrap on today's market! We said goodbye to En Omusubi today. We also said hello to several people that haven't been at the market in quite a while. First is Ninos from Westcoast Seafood. He's the original person who worked the fish truck. You may not recognize him, he dropped 114 lb since then.

Also at the market, our HR Manager Stephanie. She was instrumental in getting our market growing in the early days and keeps the back office running smoothly. Finally, some people were on vacation and Sam showed up to work the croissant booth at Des Croissant Paris. He is the owner and head baker.

It also is great seeing so many new faces today. We hope to see all of you back here in the coming weeks! When you are here, you are part of our community! We'll see you all next week from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m. here in the parking lot of the Old Town Newhall library.

We are open! So much amazing stuff in today's market including this gorgeous fresh and wild salmon from the Skeena River in British Columbia. You won't find this anywhere else in Santa Clarita except here. This is some of the absolute best of the best. They will cut you as much or as little as you want.

Westcoast Seafood has it in the market today for 45/lb. along with several other varieties of salmon. Come on out and see us. We are here until 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Old Town Newhall library.

Good morning Santa Clarita! Today is market day! Our farmers are getting set up. Our produce is always 100% local from small family farms. Our produce is always brought direct here from the farm. Gorgeous tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers from Reyes Ranch. Grown in Somis, just north of Simi Valley. We are open today from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Old Town Newhall library.

Saturday. Sadly this is the last market for En Omusubi. They are traveling back to Japan for the next year. They hope to come back in about a year and return to our market. It's your last chance to pick up some of their amazing strawberry mochi, omusubi, tamago, cucumber rolls, miso soup, Japanese curry and more. We hope to have them back here again!

Don't worry, we've got something that's taking their place. It won't be the same, it will be different but we always work to bring you something amazing. We look forward to seeing everybody this Saturday from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Old Town Newhall library.

Saturday! First of the season Macintosh apples from Ha's Apple Farms! This is a great all purpose apple. It's great for eating, cooking or making something like applesauce. Grown in the mountains of beautiful Tehachapi, pick some up at our market. Did you know the Macintosh apple is the national apple of Canada? Saturday! New in the market, Thomcord grapes from Ken's Top Notch. Certified organic and grown in Reedley, these are a cross between Concord and Thompson grapes. These are a crowd favorite. They have a slip skin with amazing flavor. The seeds in them are so small, these are classified as seedless grapes.

We are starting to get a lot of varieties of grapes in our market and we couldn't be happier! Come on out and shop for the good stuff. We are open Saturday from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Old Town Newhall library.

Haven't we seen you somewhere before? We were out on the town and had an amazing meal with the best bruschetta. The tomatoes were bright and flavorful and they were on top of a wonderful spread. The vegetables in all the dishes were just so good and full of flavor.

We chatted with the executive chef of Kindred Spirits Wine Bar in Valencia on Town Center Drive and sure enough, they shop for many ingredients at our market! The gorgeous tomatoes came from Sunrise Organic Farm and sat on top of fromage blanc from Pacheco Family Ranch. The vegetables came from several of our farmers including Alcantar Farms and Reyes Ranch.

We love finding a restaurant that values the quality that our farmers bring to Santa Clarita every week. Pick up your own amazing ingredients this Saturday from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot at the Old Town Newhall library.
