Santa Fe, NM β The Board of Directors of the Santa Fe Farmersβ Market Institute (the Institute) is pleased to announce the appointment of Syri Mongiello as Executive Director, effective May 11, 2026.ο»Ώβ£

Mongiello will oversee all aspects of the Instituteβs fundraising, programming, and operations, building on more than a decade of service as its Operations Director. Her strong financial management expertise, combined with a deep understanding of the Instituteβs goals and strategies, positions her well for success in this new role. She will lead the continued growth and impact of Institute programs including Local Food for All, Double Up Food Bucks, Microloans, and Farmer and Rancher Support.ο»Ώο»Ώβ£

A Northern New Mexico native raised in Taos, Mongiello understands the history, culture, and importance of agriculture. She holds a Masterβs degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco and brings deep institutional knowledge and sustained commitment to advancing programs that support local farmers and expand food access across the region.ο»Ώο»Ώβ£

Her commitment to community service includes serving on several boards, as well as work as a review panelist for New Mexico Arts and the City of Santa Fe Arts Commission. She is also an alumna of the Emerging Social Sector Leaders program at the Santa Fe Community Foundation. Through her work with city, county, and state partners, Mongiello has built strong relationships and developed a nuanced understanding of the systems that support the Instituteβs mission. ο»Ώο»Ώβ£
