Welcome to Kindred Farm! Cultivating connection is the heart of everything we do. We’re Christine and Steven Bailey - a writer and a chef. On our 17 acres in Santa Fe, Tennessee, we're raising vibrant produce, flowers, bees, and chickens in a sustainable way that heals the land and grows into beautiful food. Big News! We’re bringing back our family-friendly K-BBQ & Smash Burger Dinners every Friday & Saturday night in September! 🔥

If you’ve been craving our food, or you haven’t tried it yet, this is your chance. Same menu both nights. We’ll be serving up our Texas-style “K-Barbeque”, Smash Burgers, tallow fries, chicken tenders, power bowls, Cinnamon Roll Sundaes, gelato and more.

Moon-lit sunset walks around the farm after dinner…🌝

Do you see it? The light is shifting, and the colors of the trees in the hills are slowly changing from bright green to green-gold.

Says the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the August full moon (peaking on August 28th) is called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant lake sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were historically abundant during this time of year. It’s also called the corn moon and harvest moon. 🌾🌕

We won’t regret these moments of being present to the changing of the seasons. Slow down. Take the stroll. 🍂

On one of the most sweltering nights of summer, almost 100 guests gathered inside our (air-conditioned 🙌🏽) event barn…

The tables were filled with bright bouquets from our fields, and Chef Steven and team featured as many quintessential summer foods on the menu as possible - heirloom tomatoes, peppers, corn, cucumbers, squash, peaches, sunflower greens, edible flowers, pasture-raised pork, fresh milled grits, basil and other garden herbs galore, and even honey from our bees. 💐🍅🍑🌽🐝

Most importantly, life was celebrated and new friendships were forged.

We’re grateful to all the farmers and artisans who work so hard at their craft to provide such beautiful food. And many thanks to all the guests who joined us for summer’s last hurrah! 🌻

WHAT A RUN! Since February, we’ve hosted hundreds of you at our casual weekend K-BBQ & Smash Burger dinners here on the farm.

We just wanted to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you who supported us as we launched this new dinner series! 🫶🏽 Extra thanks to our “regulars” who have been with us for years - your loyalty means the world!

Over the last 5 months…

🌼 We’ve seen 3 seasons on the farm unfold before our eyes as the forest and fields have awakened & become blanketed with wildflowers.

🍔 We’ve served up over 1,000 (!) smash burgers with tallow fries, 200+ lbs of BBQ, gelato cups, cinnamon rolls, chicken tenders…

💛 Most importantly, hundreds of people have had a chance to slow down, enjoy the countryside, and spend face-to-face time with family and friends. Time is our greatest commodity, and Kindred will continue to be a place where time slows down for just a little while.

Special shout-out to Chef .brenae, our rockstar Director of Operations, for keeping the countless details running smoothly, week after week! So proud of our kitchen team for serving with heart in food prep, on the cooking line, washing endless dishes, and cleaning beef tallow off the kitchen walls 😆 - Aidan, , , , , Isaac, Audrey, Luci, Norah.

Even in the times we’re living in, word-of-mouth is still number one. So please keep sharing your favorite local businesses with family and friends - it makes all the difference!
