Happy International Women’s Day! To celebrate were introducing a new coffee and farmer to the Honesta Family. Welcome Malvina! 🎉💕

Here’s a bit about what makes Malvina’s coffee so rare and delicious:

High-altitude farming, rich soils and a biodiverse landscape contribute to incredible flavors of these keen beans.

Mundo Novo beans are harvested at their peak of ripeness, surrounded by one of the largest forest reserves in the region, numerous natural springs and acres of organic fruits and vegetables. The third-generation family farm—Fazenda Montueira—was first planted in 1882, and has always been cultivated with the future in mind.

At Honesta Coffee, we want to make sure our children’s future—and their children’s children’s—is as bright and delicious as our own, which means choosing our growing partners carefully.

We’re thrilled to taste Montueira’s present, and know that its actions today will mean an even better tomorrow. Click on our link in the bio to taste for yourself and preorder some of Malvina’s coffee!

Giant Mountain is one of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks, and is one of our favorite mountains to climb when we’re looking for a challenge, and a serious dose of inspiration. Giant gets its name from the prominent rock slides that dominate its steep western face, making it appear even grimmer and more foreboding than it is.

While serious, the Giant also has a gentle side, especially when you reach the summit and can gaze down over Keene Valley and St. Huberts. 🏔

Everyone on team Honesta always brings Honesta Coffee on hikes to keep us fueled and motivated. This time, one of our favorite team members, Paddy, snapped a beauty shot from Giant’s peak with a cuppa. (If you’ve ever sampled Honesta at a pop-up or event, chances are, you’ve met Paddy! She is amazing and also pushing the limits of how many mountains you can climb in a year!) 💗

We’re sharing this as a reminder that—even in the depths of winter—you are capable of summiting any obstacle in your path, preferably with a cup of Honesta keeping you company.

Have a great week, and make good coffee choices! 💕😎

The holidaze were amazing. SO MUCH TOGETHERNESS! (Whisper: was anyone else excited to wave goodbye to the school bus on Tuesday?) 🫢

It’s back to the grind for most of us this week — if only we were in Brazil where NYE essentially kicks-off the summer season — ok back to reality! We are busy planning and crafting a year filled with rare coffees and powerhouse women farmers and roasters that are redefining what it means to cultivate coffee in a more sustainable and ecological way.

As some of you know, our founder Erin is trained as a landscape architect and has been working throughout her professional career to restore native landscapes and natural habitats in the US.  For her and all of us, the mission to curate coffee from ecologically-focused farms is a top priority. Protecting the natural water source on the farm with a substantial buffer of native vegetation without farming; rainwater harvesting during the rainy season to cover irrigation through the dry season; native beekeeping to support pollination and many more techniques that support a sustainable and arable ecosystem. All of the things that keep the world humming and buzzing, please.

Hope you have a cup of Honesta Coffee in hand and plenty of dreams for 2023! ☕️

The rumors that the big guy can deliver on milk alone is, we can confirm… Bogus! 🎅 But don’t worry: we’ve got him covered with a massive jolt of women-grown, roasted and brewed caffeine for his biggest night of the year (He promised he’d bring some home to the Mrs.) ☕️ We’re also adding in some delicious cookies from our talented friend and carrots from our favorite local farm for the reindeer of course! 🦌 🦌 🦌

Cheers to a joyous Holiday season with lots of time with family and friends. 🎄 We’re grateful for our Honesta community and excited for what 2023 has in store for Honesta Coffee❣️

We are thankful for so much today.

The beloved family and friends who share our Thanksgiving table with us. The Honesta Coffee that gets us out of bed and coaxes us through the turkey and sides prep with the patience of a saint, or a homicidal maniac, depending on who’s in the kitchen getting on our last nerve, just grinding into it with their fancy stilettos that they can never remember to take off when they come in the front door, like everyone else does.

And now, it’s time to open the wine, give it a test sip to ensure there is no TCA lurking. Sip again, and stare moodily into the distance. Or at the kitchen wall. Whatever’s handy. Go see what everyone’s doing, then run back into the kitchen, slam the door.

“Gotta check on everything in the oven!”

Finally.

Dinner time. More wine. And. So. Many. Mashed potatoes. Turkey, stuffing. More wine. Pies on pies. Wine? Wine not!

OK, maybe now another cup of coffee would be wise. Nap.

We hope your day is as (un)productive as ours, and filled with as much coffee and mashed potatoes, and perhaps a little less wine. Definitely no stilettos. Wait. Did someone say mashed potatoes? Gotta go.

We’re busting out the Carhartts this weekend and joining our friends at and for the 10th Annual Tractor Parade this Saturday in the Village of Greenwich, NY. 👩‍🌾 ☕️🎄

🎪 Festivities start around 1pm and we’ll have hot coffee and goodies to kick-off the event!

🚜 It’s an incredibly popular event with John Deere’s and New Holland’s coming from all over the region (new and classic) decked out for the holidays. We’re looking forward to getting into the holiday spirit and seeing what folks come up with this year!

💡Link in bio for more info on parking, parade route and activities.

☕️Stop by and warm up with a hot cup of Honesta Coffee before the parade. See you there! 👩‍🌾🎉

As we shlep to the bus stop every morning with the kiddos—oversized mug of Honesta Coffee in our hands—we’ve been enjoying this gorgeous Upstate autumn. The colorful leaf colors by the way—crimson red, pumpkin orange, sun yellow—are caused by the level of sugar in their leaves. Maple leaves, which are, thanks to the sweet stuff running in their veins, tend towards the brilliant red.

And yes, as an international company, we do tend to call the season autumn, not fall. Did you know that America is the only country that refers to this season as “fall”?

Speaking of falling, did you know that the onset of cold weather does induce a sudden interest in cuddling, and that more people fall in love during autumn than any other season.

So keep your coffee close, your loved ones closer, and ponder the miracles of sugar leaves, etymology and romantic love. It will help you tune out the shrieking chorus serenading you at the bus stop.

Happy Halloween!

Or for witches in the know—Merry Samhain. Halloween was not in fact invented by Hershey’s, but instead has its root in the ancient Gaelic festival of Samhain in which Celts marked the beginning of the darker half of the year by lighting fires, setting out offerings of food and dressing up as members of the spirit world. As one does.

Today, on this most festive of holidays, I require copious amounts of both sugar and caffeine to keep me in the spirit, and able to keep up with my merry pair of holiday hooligans.

Good luck out there—have fun, stay caffeinated and grab some amazing doughnuts from our favorite 12866 bakery.

When Darling Dougnuts opened in 2020, we were psyched, but we had no idea just how enmeshed we’d become with this new store. Not only is it the place where we go when need a reminder that life is delicious—I mean, have you tried their cartoonishly delicious and pretty doughnuts?—it is also the place we go to get celebratory doughnut platters for birthdays and has become our HQ for all things sugar-high related.

The owners also happen to be wonderful, creative, community-minded people who love to collaborate with local brands.

This Saturday, Honesta Coffee will be on tap all day at Darling Doughnuts. We suggest pairing a fabulous cup of our brew with their special doughnut glazed with Honesta Coffee. Or, get into Halloween mode with their Maple Mummy, Matcha Frankenstein, Worms n’ Dirt or Candy Apple. You … truly … can’t go wrong.

We hope to see you there Saturday. In the meantime, live deliciously.

Coffee + Dogs = happy.

Coffee and dogs have more in common than you might think. Regularly consuming coffee and hanging with canines are both linked to lower rates of depression and healthier hearts.

Dogs also—like coffee!—bring people together and break the ice. Here are two pups who definitely made a recent day spent at Gore Mountain sillier, happier and more memorable.

Have a great week coffee lovers! May your week be filled with leaf-peeping, waggy tails and caffeinated smiles.

I can’t count the number of times I have asked potential friends, co-workers or lovers to meet me for a cup of coffee. Whenever I meet friends at playgrounds with our kids, or for a walk and talk in the park, either I or they will call the other person and ask, “want me to grab some coffee?”

It’s something you bring to partners in the morning when you want them to wake up on the happy side of the bed; it’s something that makes annoying meetings suddenly kind of fun.

In short, coffee brings people together. We are always thrilled when we get orders for Honesta Coffee from across the country, but our cup overfloweth when friends and family order our coffee and share iconic shots like these of our bags hanging near the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco. Shout-out to founder Erin’s brother, — thanks for the pics, and we hope you’re loving the coffee!
