What's the difference between Natural and Organic food? Glad you asked...Natural foods may not contain additives or preservatives, but they may contain ingredients that have been grown with pesticides or are genetically modified. In other words, the ingredients in the ingredient panel will look familiar, but they have not been produced organically. Natural foods are not regulated and do not meet the same criteria that organic foods do.

Leftover Grapes? Try this recipe...

BLUE CHEESE AND WALNUT GRAPES

Ingredients
6 ounces of crumbled blue cheese
2/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup of low-fat milk
4 cups of crushed walnuts
1lb seedless grapes
Small wooden skewers or toothpicks

Preheat oven 350 degrees. Once preheated place walnuts on baking dish and roast for about 6-10 minutes. Let cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine blue cheese, heavy cream and low-fat milk. Whip until smooth and creamy.

Pierce grapes with toothpicks or wooden skewer. Dip grapes in blue cheese mixture and then coat with walnuts Place on a cookie sheet.

Refrigerate and enjoy with a salad or as an appetizer!

TUESDAY'S TIP

Keep avocado’s from browning. Light, heat and air make them discolor once they are sliced open.

Here's how:
Once you slice open the avocado you will notice a pit in it. Use the half without the pit and store the other half with the pit in a tight container with red onions. Yes I said slice red onions! Red onions give off a sulfuric acid that helps to stabilize the avocado to keep them from browning.

THURSDAY’S SIDE DISH!

Who doesn’t love potatoes and better yet, loaded potatoes!

Box items needed: 4 unpeeled red potatoes, 8 ounces of white mushrooms and scallions sliced (about ½ cup)

Additional ingredients: ¾ cup cooked cubed ham (optional), 1/8 tsp of ground red pepper, ½ cup of reduced fat sour cream, ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese.

• Step 1 Pierce potatoes with fork. Arrange potatoes about 1 inch apart in circle on microwavable plate. Microwave uncovered on High 8 to 10 minutes or until tender. (Or bake potatoes in 375º oven 1 to 1 1/2 hours.) Let potatoes stand until cool enough to handle.
• Step 2 While potatoes are cooking, spray pan with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Cook mushrooms for about 3 minutes then stir in ham, green onions and red pepper. Cover and let stand 4 minutes.
• Step 3 Split baked potatoes lengthwise in half; fluff with fork. Spread 1 tablespoon of the sour cream over each potato half. Top with ham mixture and cheese.
