I had never grown one until this year and OH. MY. GOODNESS.

They are absolutely enormous. Like… where did you even come from? enormous. 😂

The boys have decided they are basically the perfect hiding spots and have incorporated them into approximately 47 different imaginary stories.

And honestly, that’s one of my favorite things about growing flowers.

They’re beautiful, yes.

But then your kids run through them.
They become part of their adventures.
They end up in your kitchen.
You give them to someone you love.
And suddenly these flowers become part of your memories. 🌸

That’s what we’re growing here at Milovany’s.

Flowers you don’t just look at — flowers you remember.

Everyone — I turned 41 today. 🥹🌸

And honestly? It was one of those days where I looked around and thought, this is the good stuff.

The best people. The funniest little moments. My family. Flowers everywhere. And four kids getting ready to start school tomorrow — YES, all four are going. 😭😂

We’re soaking up these last little moments of summer while also getting ready for a BIG week at the farm because RBD is next week! 💃🏼🌸

And that means… FLOWERS FOR DANCE RECITALS! 💐

Alright friends, we’ve been a little quiet over here—but for good reason 🌸

The dahlias are starting to shine, and I couldn’t wait any longer to show off a few of these beauties.

✨ Linda’s Baby — a dreamy peachy-pink bloom that seems to shift color depending on the light and angle. She’s truly something special.

✨ Sweet Suzanne — a warm, cheerful yellow with the most stunning fuchsia-pink rippling at her center. She absolutely glows in the garden.

And… we had our very first dinner plate bloom 😍 Stay tuned—you won’t want to miss her.

Happy Friday, everyone—

It’s hard to believe July is already winding down and the kids will be heading back to school in just a couple of weeks!

Out at the flower farm, we’ve been busy transplanting celosias, zinnias, and basil—and we’re finally enjoying our first dahlia blooms. It’s such a sweet reminder of how quickly this season goes and how important it is to soak in these moments.

I’ve been reflecting on these last bits of summer and wanted to ask—what’s one thing you have planned before Labor Day? Just one thing that truly fills your cup.

For me, I’m really looking forward to spending time with my favorite person—my mom—and going for a sunrise walk at the Huether Family Aquatics Center. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years, and this is finally the year :)

“WELL WATER FOR SALE!” 💧😄

That’s what the boys were yelling this week as they set up their very own roadside stand… trying to sell well water to the locals.

And honestly—we couldn’t stop smiling.

Because this right here is one of the biggest reasons we started this flower farm… to inspire our kids, teach them how to work, create, and carry on traditions (even if it starts with selling water 😉).

Meanwhile, back in the fields…
We are deep in the thick of summer and feeling the heat! The water lines are in and running, weeds are being tamed, and the dahlias have officially started blooming 🌸

It’s messy, hot, and a whole lot of work—but it’s also really, really good.

And the best part? This is just the beginning… fall is coming, and it’s going to be beautiful out here
