Farmers markets like QAFM are more than a place to shop—they’re where community is cultivated, a place for…

🍓turning a “we should hang out sometime” into an actual friend date
🍓sharing a punnet of berries with a new love
🍓learning from the farmers who take great care in our soil to grow our food
🍓running into neighbors you’ve only ever waved to from afar
🍓chatting with the small business owners who help shape our community
🍓 play dates for newly-made classroom friendships
🍓 finding another pup (or human) with the same golden retriever energy as you 😜

QAFM - built by the community, for the community. Share this with someone you want to meet at the market this week! And find out what's coming to tomorrow's market in our weekly newsletter: 🔗 in bio or at https://mailchi.mp/qafma/are-you-team-tayberry

Last night, on June 9, Sara and Sam Lucchese, longtime members of the QAFM vendor community with their business Vespucci Pizza, experienced a devastating fire at their home and food production kitchen in Ballard. The future of their businesses, which also include Pasteria Lucchese and La Crespella, is in jeopardy for these dedicated and passionate small business owners. Please consider contributing to the GoFundMe campaign established for them to try to begin to rebuild and replace the essential equipment needed to continue their incredible food and spirit with the community. Show them our QAFM love 💚

The gorgeous colors of Washington-grown fruit and veggies are on full blast! These seasonal favorites with tons of personality have some pretty fascinating stories of their own 😍 Did you know...
..Washington grows more sweet cherries than any other state but cherry season is one of the shortest fruit seasons of the year? Lasting just 6-8 weeks typically, these intoxicating gems are truly a "summer fling" of a fruit. Start the romance with
..the head-banging locks of garlic scapes are actually the flower stalk of the garlic plant? They are removed to redirect more energy into growing a larger garlic bulb underground, but these tangled stalks add wonderful mild flavor to your summer dishes! Find them at
...strawberries -- universally loved symbols of sunshine and summer -- are one of the few fruits that carries its seed on the outside. A single strawberry can have around 200 seeds! And because they do not ripen after being picked, their sweetness shines bright when you buy them directly from farmers who pick them within hours of coming to the market! Grab yours for your summer picnics at
..lean and lanky asparagus enters the stage as one of the first fresh vegetables to emerge after winter. With their scene-stealing snappy energy, they can also grow up to an inch or more in a single spring day! Find them at and
