Interested in working for Clean Greens Farm & Market?

We are looking for committed individuals who love farming and giving back to their community!

This is a full time position paying
$23/hr

Duties will include:

Planting and Cultivating:
- Assisting in preparing soil for planting.
- Sowing seeds and planting seedlings.
- Watering and maintaining crops.

Harvesting:
- Gathering crops at harvest time.
- Sorting and packaging produce for sale.
- Operating harvesting machinery when necessary.

Equipment Maintenance:
- Cleaning and maintaining farm equipment and tools.
- Assisting in repairs or reporting equipment issues to the farmer.

Field Maintenance:
- Weeding, mulching, and pest control.
- Monitoring crops for signs of disease or pest infestations.
- Assisting with irrigation systems.

Record Keeping:
- Maintaining logs of farm activities, including planting and harvesting dates, and inventory.

General Farm Maintenance:
- Assisting with fencing, building repairs, and upkeep of farm infrastructure.
- Helping with general cleaning and organization of farm facilities.

Safety and Compliance:
- Following safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensuring proper handling and storage of chemicals and fertilizers.

Seasonal Duties:
- Adapting to the seasonal nature of farming, which may involve long hours during peak seasons such as planting and harvesting.

We will be looking for individuals who will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of our farm and contribute to the overall productivity and efficiency of agricultural activities.

Hear from the incredible Karen Washington, a leading voice in urban agriculture, Co-Owner of Rise & Root Farm, and co-founder of Black Urban Growers, along with other special guest Clean Greens Youth Nevaeh Baker, and Urban Food Systems Manager Paris Yates, who will share their experiences and insights on the importance of Black urban farming.
