Exciting Announcement! Bike Bucks are here! 🚲

We’re launching a brand-new incentive for biking to the Sebastopol Farmers Market! 🌻

As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our impact on downtown parking and lower the environmental footprint of market day, we want to make choosing two wheels a little more rewarding.

Here’s how Bike Bucks work:

🚲 Ride your bike to the market
👋 Stop by the Info Booth and show us your bike
💵 Receive a $2 market coupon to spend on anything at the market
🛍️ Park your bike and shop the market!

September is our pilot month, so we’ll be learning and making adjustments as we go. For now, Bike Bucks will be capped at $20 each Sunday — enough for the first 10 cyclists, so come early! As we see how much interest there is, we hope to increase the program and keep it growing. 💚

And while we’re talking about getting around the market, more improvements are on the way! Keep an eye out for an updated downtown parking & plaza map with ADA parking, plus a new physical vendor map at our Info Booth to help you find your market favorites each week. These will roll out in the next 2-3 weeks.

Chef Demo this Sunday!

We have a very special guest joining us at the market this week! Award-winning Chef Laurence Jossel of San Francisco's Nopa will be at the market for a live Chef Demo!

Nopa is known for its wood-fired cooking and seasonal approach, with a menu built around ingredients sourced from Bay Area farmers markets and local purveyors — which makes this demo feel especially at home here.

Chef Laurence will show us how to grill eggplants directly over coals to create a smoky eggplant salad, sharing his process, techniques, and plenty of tips along the way.

We feel very lucky to have Chef Laurence spending his Sunday morning cooking and sharing his knowledge with our market community. Come gather around, ask questions, learn something new, and see what a little fire can do to one of late summer’s best vegetables. 🍆🔥

What an incredible demo we had last Sunday — and what a crowd! 🍕❤️

A huge thank you to Geoffrey Power  for taking us on a pizza adventure from start to finish! From the dough and ingredients to the final bake, Geoffrey walked us through the whole process, answered so many great questions, and, of course, kept the pizza coming.

It was such a joy to see so many of you gathered around, learning, asking questions, tasting each pie, and enjoying everything Geoffrey created. This is exactly what we love about our Chef Demos — getting to learn from the talented people who make our market so special while sharing some really delicious food along the way.

And the best part? You don’t have to wait for another demo to enjoy Small Pie Pizza! 🍕 You can find Geoffrey at the market every other Sunday by the gazebo, so be sure to stop by and keep supporting him!

🍕 CHEF DEMO THIS SUNDAY! 🍕

This week, we’re welcoming Geoffrey Power of Small Pie Pizza for a pizza adventure from start to finish!

Geoffrey will take us through the whole process — from dough and ingredients to baking the perfect pie — and he’ll be cooking his way through his entire menu, with tastes of every pizza as it comes out of the oven. 🤤

And the best part? We’re doing it TWICE!

🍕 Demo #1: 9:30–11:00am
🍕 Demo #2: 11:30am–1:00pm

You’ll find Geoffrey in our newly expanded Food Alley, with plenty of time throughout the demos for questions, conversation, and, of course, PIZZA.

What could be sweeter than a summer morning spent reading in the plaza? 📚🍓☀️

This Sunday, we’re so excited to welcome children’s author Katherine Pryor to the Sebastopol Farmers Market for a special morning of storytime!

You’ll find Katherine on the grass in the plaza, where she’ll be sharing some of her beautiful children’s books at:

Katherine Pryor is an award-winning children’s book author and good food advocate. She grew up in California and Arizona before moving to Seattle to study food and farming. Her books are widely used in school garden curriculum, nutrition education, and anti-hunger initiatives. 🍓🍉 Beverage Demo This Sunday! 🥤🌿

Join us this Sunday at the Sebastopol Farmers Market for a refreshing market-inspired beverage demonstration!

We'll be mixing up something delicious using fresh fruits and vegetables from our market vendors alongside products from Land and Local. Expect plenty of seasonal flavor, including beautiful melons and strawberries from Stony Point Strawberries! 🍓🍈

🥤 Demo begins at 10:30 AM

Stop by to watch, taste, and get inspired by creative ways to turn the abundance of the summer market into something refreshing to sip!

After the demo, shop the market and pick up many of the same local ingredients to experiment with your own market-inspired beverages at home.
