Chicken BBQ this Saturday! $6 chicken quarters plus sides available inside the store.

The sides will be available inside the self- serve deli coolers and will be priced by weight: cole slaw, baked beans, and Italian rotini pasta salad.

We have a sale on ham ends currently, and they are priced to move! Stop in this Saturday for a delicious piece of chicken, or during the week for your favorite cold cuts & cheese. Don't forget to give us a call for all your bakery order needs: gourmet cupcakes, from scratch cookies, cakes and whoopie pies!

Linda is home and doing very well!

What an amazing blessing it is to have a massive outpouring of prayer and support from you all.

Some specific praise reports:
1. Because of all the attention the social media post received, Linda's favorite nurse was able to track her down, speaking words of encouragement. Shout-out to Brooke, who went above and beyond to brighten her day. Truly, medical professionals that tend to their patient's spirits as well as their bodies deserve special recognition.

2. We are tremendously grateful to the surgeon; you were a direct answer to prayer and the whispers of Linda's heart. Despite being off the clock, this individual came back early from vacation to perform the surgery.

3. Linda was home from the hospital much more quickly than anticipated. There's nothing like sleeping and recovering in your own home, where comfort and family abound.

4. Again, the affection and kind words of our fellows have lifted us all up during a difficult stint. May the Lord bless you and keep you all! Goodness thrives even in sadness and suffering.

Tomorrow I'll post updates about some sales and the chicken bbq coming up. Today, we are just happy to report that the prayers have been answered.

This news sure compliments the sunshine and gentle breeze outside. Many thanks, and we hope you're having a day as joyful as we feel.

Mr. Melville was correct... and no other environment illustrates that better than that of a tight knit community.

It's been 2.5 years since Linda experienced a health scare that rocked us to the core. Through it all, our fellows stood beside us: sending flowers, saying prayers, and still choosing to shop here even when it got rocky.

This Friday, Linda is scheduled to undergo another surgery. We are so grateful for how her recovery has progressed. If you know Linda, you know she never stops. She just keeps chugging! She has been a blessing to so many people.

We would like to make a humble request; that those willing would lift her up in prayer. Please pray for the surgeon's hands, a peaceful recovery, and no infections.

Most of all, thank you.

There's something special we have here, in this quiet valley. It's the connections that people continue to forge. It's the hospitality, the slower pace of life we have as the seasons turn. May the spirit of being a good neighbor never leave this place.

Ladies & gentlemen...mark your calendars!

We will be having our next chicken BBQ on Saturday, June 20th. Sides will be available inside the store. We will most likely have baked beans and pasta salad. I will post some more specifics as we close in on that date.

Chicken quarters will be grilling right next to the wine shop. How about treating Dad a day early?

Nothing says "I love you" quite like a delicious, home cooked meal. 🍗

This year, we will not be carrying local strawberries.

Yes, it's disappointing. Can we change it? Nope. I'm sure everyone out there has caught wind of berry prices and availability.

There are growers out there trying to make the best of a crummy situation, so please...be kind. Our thoughts are with those that have toiled long and hard, just to be foiled by circumstances out of their control. God speed, and may those precious red berries yield a better crop next season. 🍓

Tomorrow when you stop for groceries, make sure to grab a sample (or two!)

We will have plenty of Wind & Willow products and Beyer Farms raw milk available for taste testing.

Why? Well, our family believes in supporting local farmers, opening one's home as a generous host... and we've always enjoyed getting to know our customers.

We hope you'll welcome the newest member to join the Heimbach's country store family, Barbara Gill! Barb will be manning the samples table tomorrow. She has been thrown into a whirlwind of training, answering telephones...and has been doing great! (She even helps corral the social media manager's children, how amazing is that?)

Make sure to swing by for all your old favorites, and to maybe even find some new ones.
