The August 29th Speed Park Artisan & Farmers Market is officially in the books, and WOWWWWW!! 🤩

60+ VENDORS.
🍔 Delicious food.
🎶 Wonderful live music.
🛍️ Incredible local makers, farmers & small businesses.
❤️ And a community that just keeps SHOWING UP!

I say it after every market, and I’ll keep saying it because I MEAN IT…

You guys are the HEART of this market.

You load the trailers. You pack the cars. You haul the tents. You set up the tables. You create, bake, grow, cook, sew, pour, paint, plant and make all the wonderful things that fill Speed Park every month.

And somehow you STILL show up smiling and ready to have a good time! 😂❤️

When we started this season, I knew I wanted Speed Park to be more than somewhere you stopped to buy something.

I wanted it to feel like a small-town Saturday night. 🌳

Grab some dinner.
Listen to some music.
Shop from your neighbors.
Run into somebody you haven’t seen in forever.
Sit for a while.
Let the kids play.
And just enjoy being part of a COMMUNITY. ❤️

Last night felt exactly like that.

And THAT is what makes all the work worth it.

I’m not gonna make a big long post about how Sellersburg and our Vendors Showed up and Showed out tonight! That will come later. But I just realized as I sat here surrounded by all of market purchases and gifts… as I’m sample small bites of various cookies, nibbling on brisket, having a small spoonful of a bundt cake, smelling my delicious candle burning, and staring at the gorgeous fresh flower bouquet how lucky I am to be this market’s manager!! Then I looked in the mirror and saw myself in my pajama pants, hot pink socks and with sandals, and my hat on backwards and thought I must look like a modern day Gollum from lord of the Rings staring and coveting my precious treasures! Such is the life of a market manager!! I’ll write a mushy thank you post about how awesome tonight was tomorrow!
