Happy Mother’s Day. We’re also celebrating buy your mom a goat month. Lambs work for that holiday too! Whispering Pines is leading the way for new farmers in South Carolina. We teach ‘How to’ and continue to mentor! We even have started farms in many other states!
We’re here to help! Whether you’re wanting pets or want to raise your own meat, milk, cheese or other dairy products, we teach classes to help. We have goats with kids in milk or baby goat kids. Lambs and sheep in milk too. We have classes- hands on learning to milk!

We spent a lot of time, energy and money to make sure we have a nutrient dense forage for our livestock. That’s why we have such rich golden milk and dairy products and super healthy ruminants. We have sheep and goats from birth to breeding season without needing any dewormer. We’ve worked on the genetics, our protocol for care and a watchful eye to prevent issues. This pasture is one of our rotational spots and we’re multi species grazing!

We went out early to check for any newborn kids or lambs. I’m glad they’re waiting for the storm to move on! Usually they like to drop babies in puddles or ice! I guess they lack discernment! So far, we still have electricity. I think the risk lasts through tomorrow some time. Prayers for all the people that are struggling without power across the USA!

Yesterday, we had the Little Shepherds class with around 20 kiddos enduring the cold weather but having a great time! Tomorrow, the volunteer training class for Lambuary! We have a pretty big group and we’re looking forward to showing everyone all the opportunities!
