“Hello, my name is JoAnn Heaton, and 1 am the owner/baker of JoAnn Heaton ETC, LLC. I am a 56-year-old, 1 am blessed to be a wife, mother to 5 grown children, and Grami to 5 beautiful Grands. I have been baking for as long as I can remember, something my late mother instilled in me. I became a Certified Baker from TCTC in 2007, with dreams of opening a bakery one day. However, my journey in sourdough did not happen until 3 years ago when my father had a stroke, and I had to give up my cleaning business of 20+years. A friend gave me a starter, and there it went from there. I have loved every minute it has allowed me to be home and care for my dad and take care of my 2-year-old granddaughter. I bake all kinds of things for friends and family, but my business is Sourdough. You can find me at Sunni's Mercantile Market and vendor events in the county. I also teach sourdough classes when given an opportunity. My favorite to bake is breads, cinnamon rolls, and Glute-Free Breads and sweets.
