What’s blooming in our woods and around the yard? There’s beauty & interest all around us! What can you find by you?

-wild geranium- also called ‘cranesbill’ because of the shape of the seed pod after it blooms

-blue violet- state flower of Wisconsin

-lily of the valley- I love the bell shaped flowers and their smell, but this plant is highly toxic to animals and humans if ingested.

-dogwood

-Starry False Solomon’s Seal- native Woodland perennial

-Dames’s Rocket- pretty, but it is invasive and it’s recommended that you pull them

-honeysuckle- in Celtic folklore, planting honeysuckle near your home, brought good luck! 

-White Trillium- they take 7-10 years to bloom from a seed

-White Trillium that turns pink as it ages

Who’s “J & S”? We’ve had a number of new people join our page this year, so we thought we’d introduce ourselves to those that don’t know us.

We are Jen & Steve. J & S Garden grew out of our love for being outside, having projects, helping people & Jen’s love of flowers, design and gardening!

Steve is the brain, muscles and the height in our business! At 6’4”, he’s the guy hanging up the tall flower arch pieces, putting together bloom bar carts, fixing all the things & tilling and watering the garden. He entertains all of my (Jen’s) crazy ideas!

Jen is the creative and organizer! I see flowers and making flower arrangements as works of art. Just like people, there’s no flower that is exactly the same. When I have a hard time falling asleep at night, I think about flowers. 😉 I also love a good checklist and cute planner, so I’m super organized!

Doing flowers for weddings and events is an honor to be included on your special days! Teaching plant and flower workshops and meeting you at pop-up’s and vendor events brings me joy as I help others create art and enjoy the beauty of flowers and plants.

We both love meeting people, hearing their story and helping in any way that we can! We’ll continue to share our journey with you on this page. We truly appreciate everyone’s support!💕

🪏 The moment we’ve all been waiting for (well at least us 😉 )…. Planting season! Steve has been hard at work getting the land ready by picking rocks, tilling the soil, making rows etc etc.

🌻 🎃 🌸I am super excited to try some new flowers but also plant our favorites- pumpkins, zinnias, sunflowers and more!

🌹❤️🎨Bachelorette Bloom & Brush! Such a fun afternoon with this great group celebrating the bride with some hands-on fun! We made beautiful bouquets from the Bloom Bar & then did a guided painting inspired by the bouquet.

🌹We customize the event for you! For this party, the bride loves roses so the Bloom Bar had three different types of roses & the painting was rose inspired.
