We had an amazing time at the North Plains Elephant Garlic Festival last weekend! A big THANK YOU to Kim, Terry, Sidney and especially David. Couldn't have done this event without you guys!
We are most likely SOLD OUT of garlic for the season. This may change as we get closer to fall. But currently, all of our remaining garlic is to be planted. Thank you all for helping to make this season a success.

Better Living Thru Garlic: Tip of the Day #3... Garlic has been used for centuries as a treatment for headache severity. A fresh garlic clove can be eaten to reduce the effects of a headache, but most would probably prefer a garlic tea made from fresh cloves as an alternative. Another option is to boil the cloves and breathe in the vapors.

Better Health Thru Garlic: Tip of the Day #2

Ant control: Ants are repelled by strong scents. Placing slices of garlic in areas of the home where ants have been seen will deter them. Pay special attention to entry points for ants and place a thickly sliced section of garlic clove in that spot. Replace garlic as it dries out for ongoing protection.
In the garden, use a mixture of pureed garlic mixed with water and apply with a spray bottle. Use of ant trails to disrupt the pheromones the ants leave as markers on the trail.

Better Health Thru Garlic Tip of the Day #1: Treating Corns

To gently and naturally remove painful and unsightly corns, first wash affected area (scrubbing to remove the top, flaky layer of damaged cells). Then, cut a slice of a garlic clove and rub into over the affected region until it is covered in the garlic juice. Secure a slice of garlic to the area with a bandage. It is usually most convenient to do this before bed. Repeat this process until the corn softens and disappears. Larger corns may take longer, but positive results have been reported after only one week of treatment.
