Saying “See you Later” to Field of Love Farm 💕
We are saddened to share that Field of Love Farm will not be returning to the market this season. Unforeseen circumstances have cut Field of Love’s season short and the business will be closed for the foreseeable future. Updates below !
Alyssa VanDurme, the farmer and owner of Field of Love Farm, has been a pillar of the market for the past three seasons, offering delicious diversified produce grown using organic methods. The gap in local organic produce available in Sheffield was a driving factor that inspired Alyssa to begin farming here. Since 2024, she has filled that void with healthy vegetables, herbs, and flowers delivered to the community with kindness and care.
As a member of our farming markets Steering Committee, she has brought our quaint local market impactful ideas, boundless energy, and more gifts than we can repay. From market manager to marketing consultant to vendor to interim Chair, she has been a leading force in stabilizing and revitalizing our market. Much of our success happens behind the scenes and many of our little victories in the past few seasons can be credited to Alyssa’s commitment to bringing healthy, locally produced food to the community.
Thank you, Alyssa, for your dedication to our market and our community! Please join us in giving Alyssa a warm send-off for the 2026 market season. We hope to follow and support her journey in future seasons!
We are working on finding an organic produce vendor to finish out the season. Stay tuned for updates and enjoy the produce that is offered from vendors like Zinke’s Homegrown and Dandelion Hill Farm.
