Garlic scapes. The flower heads that come out the top of garlic bulbs. Think of as large chives, garlic flavor. Chop up and add to anything you would use garlic in. Freezes well. No need to blanch. Just wash, dry, chop up and put in freezer bags. $5/baker’s dozen.

Oregano. You cut as much as you want. $5. Use fresh or dry leaves.

Dill. Green W**d stage (seeds have not set). $5/baker’s dozen stems.

We will be having our second annual plant sale of perennial divisions and self-seeding annuals on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th. Also some strawberry and raspberry starts.

More details to come, with listing of all the plants and photos.

Plants are potted in 2-gallon ($7), 3-gallon ($10), 5-gallon ($15) and 10-gallon ($20) felt containers with handles.

We have a small orchard of 30+ fruit trees outside of Shelley, close to interstate exit 108. I’m considering doing a hands-on workshop on pruning techniques.

We have apples, plums, peaches, pears, sweet cherry and sour/pie cherry, and apricot.

If you have any of these in your yard and want some help learning how to prune fruit trees properly, I’m hoping this might be of interest.

Thinking 1-2hour with instructions, tips and practice/hands-on. Probably mid-late February. Hopefully a sunny day. $50.
