Greener Pastures at Happy Acres Farm Greener Pastures, located at Happy Acres Farm in Sherman, CT. We primarily focus on raising beef cattle, chickens, pumpkins and hay.

The town staple for 100 years, David Jellen, has brought the tradition back to life, by carrying on the wishes and legacy of the late Tony Hapanowich. The town owned farm is home to a herd of 10 Holstein dairy cattle, over 20 beef cattle, a dozen pigs, and a hundred chickens. We have made the decision to move Farm Day to Sunday October 8th. The field here at the farm will be to wet for parking so the parking will be at Volunteer Field. There will be several shuttle busses bringing everyone back and fourth.

Farm day 2023 update: We are watching the weather very closely. If the weather continues to look bad for Saturday we will move Farm Day 2023 to Sunday 10/8. We will let everyone know as soon as possible later in the week! Hope to see everyone here!

We are now 30 days away from our 3rd annual Open Farm Day on October 7th! We are excited to have help from the Sherman Boy Scouts and Sherman Artists Association including pumpkin painting, pumpkin chucking, and an art display of different farms here in Sherman. We will also have some antique engines displayed this year to demonstrate how ear corn is turned into corn meal for livestock feed. Don't forget about the delicious food provided by Old Oak Tavern, pumpkin picking, animal exhibits, hay rides, and equipment display. Hope to see you here!🐖🐄🎃
