🌡️With the warmer weather, we recommend getting your harvest to us as soon as possible so it can get cooled out properly in our cooler. The nights right now are not cool enough to hang a deer overnight. If you recover your deer later in the day, please call us right away to arrange drop-off.

We've been busy stocking and re-stocking our fresh, frozen and refrigerated cases! A lot of people have been through and are choosing to have Block & Cleaver on their plates this weekend -- Thank you ❤️

Reminder - it's the 𝑳𝑨𝑺𝑻 𝑾𝑬𝑬𝑲𝑬𝑵𝑫 for kabobs. We still have a few packages of each left in the case but once they're gone, they're gone until Memorial Weekend.

🛑This is your final weekend for kabobs! After Labor Day weekend, they go back into the retail vault until Memorial Weekend. These summer staples are a beloved item and great for a crowd with their delicious flavor and minimal prep time, which allows you to spend more time with your family and friends.

We grind whole muscle, Upper-Midwest-sourced (mainly WI and MN) beef in-house to create our Ground Beef blends we've become known for.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏? It means we DO NOT and WILL NOT bring in pre-ground meats. We also DO NOT and WILL NOT source our grinding meats from outside the US. We are taking whole cuts and roasts from beef that are raised in Wisconsin and the surrounding states, and grinding them in our sausage room to give you fresh, quality Ground Beef. It's then formed into 1 lb blocks and vacuum sealed to preserve and protect the quality and freshness, even when frozen.

🎉We currently have all of our Ground Beef on sale! Take $0.50 off each lb of our Ground Beef varieties, or $1.00 off each lb if bought in a 25 lb case-quantity.

𝑾𝒆'𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆!

🐻First up is Bear season, which starts on Wednesday, Sept. 9th. We have a lot of information below, but it's all important so please take the time to read through it if you're a bear hunter.

PREHUNT: Before heading out on your hunt, determine if you want Taxidermy work done and if you would like Block & Cleaver to process your bear after a successful hunt. Block & Cleaver does not cape bear for rugs/taxidermy work. Also, contemplate how you’d like your bear cut up and any sausage to be made. (Tip – check with spouse😉)

POINT OF HARVEST:
1. Immediately after verifying bear has been killed, call Block & Cleaver at 715-349-7282. If after 5 pm, text Adrian directly at 612-237-5142. If having taxidermy work done, reach out to desired Taxidermist as well.
2. Fully field dress bear and put bagged ice in body cavity if possible.
3. Register your bear with WI DNR and remove tooth per DNR instructions. We need the registration confirmation number at drop-off.
4. If having taxidermy work done, take the bear immediately to your desired Taxidermist so they can cape it how they prefer to have it done. Once complete, bring to B&C immediately so it can get into the cooler as soon as possible.
~If you are NOT having taxidermy work done, please bring the field-dressed carcass to B&C immediately to get into the cooler as soon as possible. Block & Cleaver will skin your bear but only for cooling/hanging purposes and not for taxidermy purposes. You will NOT receive your hide back.
5. Fill out paperwork with B&C to determine your cuts and sausage options. Payment for processing is due in full at drop-off, along with sausage deposit.

**It is imperative bears get cooled off as soon as possible for the best quality meat.
**Sausage Processing could take up to 75+ days as we will batch process products after bear season concludes and/or production schedule permits.
**If bringing us trim to make sausage, get us your trim as soon as possible because once we start processing sausage, we will not be running more batches. Bear is a one-time processing window.
*Pick up within 10 business days of notice product is complete. If not picked up and no arrangements made, storage fee of $4/box/week will be applied to total.
