The Lady Kay unloaded last night and heading out this morning. The season is changing fast. If you like sea bass there will be fresh fish at Mitchell Seafood the next few days. Soon we could be chasing snapper or shrimp. Who knows?

My friend Alberto Castillo once made a post on Facebook with a picture from a boat he was working on not much different than this one. Alberto is from Mexico and his English is broken. he is my good friend and his comment said "I am a full fisherman". I knew exactly what he meant. That's what I am, a "full fisherman".
The Lady Kay has unloaded and heading back out. Everyone have a great night it will be a long one for us!

Heading offshore to clear our mind. We have a short weather window but it will work if we work it. The lady kay is heading out!

It's been a long harsh winter but spring has sprung. This time of year can be anxious for a fisherman. It's almost time to go, the boat isn't ready, things are getting tight and everything is on the line. This is what we live for. Maybe it's adrenaline, maybe it's foolishness, maybe it's the freedom but something about risking everything and watching God work in your life to get you through it. Sometimes it can be great failure sometimes great success but each year we get through it.
