As we approach the Juneteenth holiday tomorrow, we're reflecting on one of the things that makes the Snohomish Farmers Market so special: the incredible diversity within our community.

Across our 130 vendor spaces, you'll find a wide variety of backgrounds, traditions, flavors, and stories represented by the people who grow our food, create with their hands, and share their passions with us each Thursday. We have over 20 different countries represented at the market each season!

Markets have always been places where communities gather, cultures are celebrated, and connections are made. We are grateful for the opportunity to support small businesses and create a welcoming space where everyone belongs.

This week, we encourage you to explore a new booth, try something unfamiliar, ask questions, and celebrate the many people who make our market what it is.

Community thrives when we learn from and support one another!

A friendly reminder for your furry friends as we head into the summer heat: pavement & asphalt are MUCH hotter than the air temperature! Our market footprint also gets full sun for much of the day, creating a dangerous situation for pets.

Even temps in the low 70's can create hot surfaces for your pet to walk on. We recommend leaving pets at home when temps start to rise - or bringing them out later in the evening (or using booties/etc.) Try the pavement test - use the back of your hand to test and see if you're able to tolerate it for 20-30 seconds.

NEVER leave your pet in the car, even with windows cracked or "just for a few moments>"

We're excited to welcome to the market this week with a fresh take on sweet treats!

Tanghulu is a traditional Chinese street food consisting of fresh, skewered fruit coated in a hardened sugar syrup. When you bite into it, there is a satisfying "glass-like" crunch, followed by a burst of sweet, juicy fruit!

Come try it out this Thursday and let us know what you think!
