The market offers a wide range of locally produced vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, fish, bread, cheese, mushrooms, baked goods, specialty foods, and in pre-COVID times, weekly live music and activities. Managed by Union Square Main Streets.

Stop by the market manager's tent early next Saturday to pick up your poster before they're gone for the season 💚

We also have a number of past seasons' posters (more than those pictured here!) in stock at the market, available on our online store (unionsquaremain.org/store) and at Tiny Turns Paperie 🌱

Posters look great among our vendor's displays but even better in your homes! If you have a USFM poster display in your house, please share your pictures with us, we love seeing them ❤️

This weekend's SNAP Match funds have been generously sponsored in memory of Janet Goodwin 🌸

Born in Somerville, Janet was a life-long resident of the Boston region and loved the area, especially in summer ☀️ She was a loyal fan of the local sports teams and enjoyed long walks along the Charles.

Janet cared deeply about food security for all, donating regularly to food banks, Women's Lunch Place, and Rosie's Place 💞

Her family shares that she would be happy to know that she is continuing to support access to nutritional foods.

USFM is honored to be part of Janet's legacy 💓

Join us at USFM for BOOKS + BANJO 🪕📚 Children's stories and a singalong Saturday August 22, 10am-12pm with local children's author Ellen Mayer (Ellen Mayer Books) and bluegrass musician Malcolm Pittman👏📖🎼

Ellen will read a sneak peek of new picture book FLUTTER, FLAP, FLY! (to be released end of August) and recent board book YELLOW, RED, GREEN – GO! and we’ll all sing songs about birds, bicycling, and more! 🐦‍⬛🚲

Copies of Ellen’s books will be available for purchase with Venmo or cash 📚💚
