Our community is shaped by its working waterfront—boats leaving before dawn, traps hauled through sleet and spray, and the people who face the Atlantic in all its moods.

A great shout‑out for Adam—steady on the water, steady on the Co‑op board, and somehow still finds time to chase a golf ball around. Proud to have him representing our harbor and Maine’s fishing community. 🦞💙⛳️

A gentle rain is falling this morning, but the weather this weekend was a 20 out of 10.

We welcomed old friends, made new ones, and celebrated Danny's birthday with a surprise rendition of Happy Birthday from the Belle of Belgrade and Love & Lobsters fans before he shared the story of our working waterfront.

And, of course, Hannah the Blue Bug charmed everyone she met, while our Hannah educated visitors about lobsters and the importance of sustainable fishing.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by—we loved spending the weekend with you.🦞💙

A rare blue lobster. A coastal love story. A sunny Saturday. 💙🦞

We’d say the timing is pretty perfect.

Today, we're welcoming local author Shannon Parker to the Co-op with a group of readers. Set in nearby Christmas Cove, Love & Lobsters follows a female lobsterman as she navigates grief, family, and the courage to fall in love.

Visitors will also have the chance to meet Hannah—our one-in-two-million blue lobster—the perfect connection between the story and the waterfront.

Fresh seafood, harbor views, and one beautiful afternoon on the Midcoast’s working waterfront.

See you at the Co-op!

Word’s getting around about Hannah the Blue Bug, and we've got a steady stream of visitors stopping in to catch a glimpse of our one-in-two-million guest. 🦞💙

Meanwhile, Hannah, behind the counter, would like everyone to know we've got our first swordfish of the season, along with fresh cod, haddock, halibut, and fresh oysters.

One Hannah is drawing a crowd. The other is feeding it.

Stop by and see both while they're here.

Captain Steve Peaslee hauled in this rare blue bug—one in two million—and named her after our own Hannah.

With pogie season just around the corner, Andy and Josh were busy this morning rigging the mast and boom aboard Betty Lew. Andy joked that the entire rig is held together with zip ties, though I find that a little hard to believe.

Into the blue-blue blues.
