Maine Forest Yurts is just a hop skip and a jump down the road and such great neighbors

After guests leave the yurt, the first thing we do is check to see if they’ve signed the journal. We love reading what guests have to say about their time at the yurt and it’s especially fun when they include neighbor-friends in their entry! Check out Old Crow Ranch!

We’re all a little bigger, older, wiser (?maybe?).

But it sure feels good when we’re all together.

turned 50 this past Sunday and we celebrated quietly, on the ranch and came home to join the celebration ❤️🎉

A couple days late for our annual Earth Day street clean up. We headed out in the warm sun and cold wind and filled EVERY bucket we brought with trash.

We love this tradition cause it makes our little corner of Maine just a bit cleaner. A small way we can give back to our community and earth.

We got the grill out! Ribeye, porterhouse and brined pork chops! Couldn’t decide which one was the best! Nothing like a meal 100% grown at Old Crow Ranch! (Minus butter, oil, salt & pepper).

Update! Compost is sold out until fall.

It’s that magical time! Opening up gardens and readying them for planting. will be loading “Black Gold” this Saturday.

Our “fully cooked” compost is turned multiple times over the course of a year, made from many types of manure, garden waste and kitchen scraps. It’s usually loaded with red wigglers 🪱 (no jumping worms).

We will load a truck for you or you may request a scheduled delivery for a reasonable fee.

note: 8 ft truck bed will fit 1-2 yards depending on truck’s hauling power.

$60/yard - Cash ONLY accepted at pick up.

Disclaimer: compost is not sifted, bones and some kitchen plastic and the occasional spoon included.
Delivery notes: $50 fee/trip. Must be within 15 miles of Old Crow Ranch. 3 yard minimum order on all deliveries.

Sunny Sunday hike. Thank you, Royal River Conservation Trust for the excellent, 2 mile, snowy hike at River Elf Trail in New Gloucester.

We packed a snacky picnic and watched a 126 car freight train go by. So good!
