Welcome, November!

We have been MIA lately because October was a wild whirlwind. We went on vacation, had 2 calves born, had 1 cow/calf have some trouble with milk and had to pin her up and keep her milked down until the calf could figure out what she was doing. We've catered a couple events, wrapped up fall trap season and more.

November starts our holiday baking season. With that being said, if you need to place an order for anything please let us know as soon as possible for Thanksgiving, Christmas and other events for November and December. Our calendar has already started filling up! I will try to get a list posted this weekend/early next week.

Gift Baskets are still available as well.

We sent a Horn Holler gift basket out tonight. This was a bigger one and absolutely gorgeous.

(The only thing I was able to get a picture of was the fruit cups.)

It's been an eventful week or so around here. We left for vacation Sunday and our cow and heifer both decided to calve. One calved Monday and the other Wednesday. The young heifer and her calf has done great, but the older cow has had trouble with her little calf. Her teats have been too big for it to latch.

Thankfully we have the best neighbors a person could ask for. They kept us updated while we were gone and jumped right in to care for the cows. They have the little calf trained to a bottle and helped us get Blanche (the older cow) in one of their barns and chute to get her milked down and teach the calf to latch.

Kenlee now has her SAE calf for FFA. We've all learned how to milk a cow today.

Good rainy morning! We are trying to get back into a good baking routine. The list below is available anytime from tomorrow through next Saturday. Delivery will be available in the afternoons, or we can schedule a pickup at the farm. I have most supplies on hand, but still need a day's notice so everything can be made fresh. Pumpkin Butter is available, but in short supply. I only made one batch this year.

If you would like to order anything, please let us know. Fall is our favorite season, so fall treats are in full swing!
