Wanted to send a quick message about the holiday hours at Coburns Store and the businesses within:
Coburns will be open normal hours Friday &, Saturday July 1st & 2nd (7:00 a.m. -6:30 p.m.) and Sunday July 3rd (8:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.) and OPEN Monday July 4th 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Mascoma Savings Bank will be open Friday July 1st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and then CLOSED SATURDAY THRU MONDAY. They will re-open the Strafford Branch on Tuesday July 5th at 2:00 p.m. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD for your banking needs prior to the weekend.
So. Strafford Post Office will be open normal hours Friday July 1st (8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) and Saturday July 2nd (8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.). They will be CLOSED on Monday for the 4th.

One of the happiest days of my life was one day in June 1977 when my brother Philip came to our house and asked me if I was interested in purchasing the store in So. Strafford with him.
So, on August 29, 1977 we opened as Coburns General Store.
Now after almost 45 years we have decided, for many reasons, it is time to put the store up for sale.
This is a bittersweet decision as it has been a dream come true job for me. I can not think of one day during all those years that I didn’t look forward to going to work.
My parents had a small sign hanging in our dining room that read “Get your happiness out of your work or you will never know what real happiness is”. I believe this is so true. All of you have made it happen. We thank you for all your support and patronage over the years.
Our customers, our employees, all of our delivery people, the bank tellers and the postmaster have made the store such a special place to work and own.
Hopefully, if and when it sells, you will continue to support the new owners as you have us.

We are again doing a giveaway.

We have a stocking for ages 0-12 yo;

A sweatshirt, hat, bottle of sparkling cider and chocolate for ages 13-20 yo;

A Boars Head cutting board with cheese/pepperoni, chocolate and a bottle of champagne for ages 21+.

There is NO charge, so fill out a ticket and put it in the jar. Parents can fill out the ones for their young children.

Coburns Store will be OPEN Sunday July 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Monday July 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. so that our families and staff may celebrate the 4th of July Holiday. Have a safe and happy 4th. Chrissy

Coburns Store will be open 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday May 31st for Memorial Day.
Mascoma Bank will be OPEN 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday May 28th and then CLOSED til Tuesday June 1st at 2:00 p.m. Because of this Coburns WILL NOT be able to cash large checks. The ATM should be operational during the weekend.
The South Strafford Post Office will be closed MONDAY.
