A little piece of Sicily growing right here at the Cianci Farm Stand! 🇮🇹🌱

This is Cucuzza, a traditional Sicilian summer squash native to the region our family comes from in Sicily. Cucuzza has been grown and enjoyed by Sicilian families for generations.

Growing cucuzza is a yearly tradition for our family, keeping a piece of our Sicilian heritage alive right here on the farm.

And we don’t just enjoy the squash—the tender young leaves and shoots are called tenerumi. We use them for a traditional Sicilian summer soup, often prepared with cucuzza, fresh tomatoes and pasta.

Proud to keep the traditions and flavors of Sicily growing here in South Windsor. 🇮🇹❤️

We had such a great weekend at the Cianci Farm Stand! It was wonderful seeing so many new faces along with our returning customers. We truly appreciate your continued support, feedback, and encouragement — it means the world to us!

Stop by anytime this week for fresh sourdough loaves baked every morning, along with a great selection of fresh seasonal fruits & vegetables.

And fall is starting to make its way onto the stand! 🎃🍂 We have the first mums and pumpkins of the season, with winter squash and more fall favorites beginning to come in.

It’s that great time of year when summer produce meets the first signs of fall, and there’s always something new to find at the stand.
