Good Morning.
I know it's been awhile, but I wanted to let my friends and loyal customers that I'm DOING!
I will say no more.
Thank you all for your support over the past year after losing my b est friend and husband of 48 years.

I'm doing as i know he w ould want me too. Doing what I love.

Last year I was able to attend the Oak Island Summer Market because of our VENDOR Friend, Bruce of RIDGE FARMS.

He has already called to see if i was doing the market and I told him i was. He said, "I just want to let you know that if you run into a problem, let me know and we'll be right there to help you"

RYAN gave me my spaces that we've had since whenever.
We are right by the park as you walk in.
I had to move, due to lots of reasons, and I now live in Supply on Stone Chimney Rd.
Smaller house with a pond as one of my amenities.
Just me and RacHelle, my Light in this sad heart.
I've met some of my neighbors and , you know me, I asked, "Would you like a PART-TIME Summer job?"
My neighbor, Amber, agreed. She's taking a break from her usual type of work, which is a banker, (we all need a banker friend). She is doing great..she can do math and make change..what more could I ask for.

All the Vendors know my grandson, Carter. He makes his rounds to make sure he keeps our VENDOR FRIENDS doing a good job.
He's 12..growing into a handsome young man. He said to me today, "Wouldn't Papa be happy to see how tall I've gotten?"

It’s been a while since I have posted. As most of you are aware, my husband, Buddy, passed away in March of 25.

I had to make major changes in my life, therefore, I had to put everything to the side and ‘back up and punt’ as Buddy always said.

Initially, I tried to continue working..with the help of our Vendor Friend, Bruce, of Ridge Farms, I was able to work the Summer Market on Oak Island. I really needed and APPRECIATE that opportunity.

After the Market Season was over, I decided to continue with Home Delivery and Pick-Up. That was doing very well.

Then REALITY crept back in and I had to make some very DIFFICULT decisions.

In October, I put all aspects of BUSINESS to the side, and began to concentrate on what I needed to be doing to BECOME independent again.

FIRST..I had to Grieve..something I had not truly done..but I had to get control of the overwhelming SADNESS..ANGER..LONELINESS..DEPENDENCE..”What in the WORLD am I going to do??” emotions. Do I have CONTROL..no, but I am still working on it.
This is a GRIEF that will never go away..it just keeps ‘shape-shifting’.

This is a really long story, but I’m going to make it short.

I made a huge decision to SELL our HOUSE. I realized there was no way that I could maintain our BEAUTIFUL home and all the issues that came with it. I tried several times to get contractors to do necessary things to get the house ready to list on the market.
I finally found a wonderful couple on Oak Island, Mariah & Jim Cook of FULL MOON ENTERPRISES
My son, Richard Mac Donald, stepped in and told me he was taking over, because it was too much for me to deal with by myself. He hired a group out of Wilmington, Cam's Junk Removal They don’t just remove JUNK, they do everything..if Cam’s crew can’t handle it, he refers others that are dependable as well.
I have moved to a smaller house, in The Landing @ Stone Chimney, in Supply, NC.

Now, let’s get down to business.
MATERS & TATERS will be at the Mardi Gras Market on Oak island, this SATURDAY 21st..(WEATHER permitting, of course, weatherman says 81% chance of rain).

Sorry for being late posting our BASKET OF HEALTH List. We had a very long and emotional day today, since it was our BUDDY 'LOVES' Birthday.

We had fun sharing some our FAVORITE Memories, while laughing and crying.

We decided to have a dinner of his favorite foods.

We had his most Favorite. . PINTO BEANS cooked with SIDE MEAT, for those that don't know, Side Meat is, because it comes from the SIDE of the PIG, thus Side Meat. .Bacon..Fat Back..come from the same area.

SIDE MEAT..not only is it cooked in the Beans, it is also fried like Bacon to eat along with your Beans..becoming a SIDE Dish.

COLLARDS..once again cooked with SIDE MEAT..these collards were cooked and canned (put in jars and Sealed) 2 years ago and they tasted like they were Fresh from the COLLARD PATCH. All we had to do was Heat & Eat. 2 Quart Jars were enough for 3 adults and 3 children..these children love Collards.
Amber and I decided that Fried Chicken and Dutch Apple Pie (from Lowe's Foods kitchen) was 2 of the things that needed to be added. .he was very fond of those too. Amber said the first time she saw him put Shredded Cheddar on top of his slice of pie, then put in the microwave for about a minute, then top with Vanilla Ice-cream and Chocolate Drizzle..that she had to try it ..and what a treat she said it was.

So thank you for your patience and I will extend the order time until 6pm on Thursday 4th.
