In the center of Southwest Harbor is the wonderful collaboration of Scott and Jennifer Worcester. Sawyer's Specialties (1996) provides Mount Desert Island and Downeast communities over 2,000 delicately, personally selected wines, a large selection of gourmet cheeses, olives and specialty products. At Sawyer's Specialties, our knowledgable staff offers several individualistic features that include

everything from wedding/event planning, to wine cellar appraisals. As foodies ourselves, we can recommend the best places to eat, drink, and hold events on Mount Desert, as well recommend the best catering services available. We look forward to hearing from you and sharing our passion of food in wine with you.

Caviar is here! Selections available immediately in Northeast Harbor and a huge selection of producers, varieties, and sizes available for preorder from both stores! Don't forget to pick up your blinis, crème fraiche, mother of pearl spoon, and caviar key, and a cold bottle of Champagne to make the experience truly luxurious 🥂

Vegan caviar by Zeroe is available as well, made from seaweed extract and absolutely delicious!

It's that time of year again! Sawyer's Specialties is looking for individuals with a love of wine and cheese, or who are curious to learn more about either or both!

This is a seasonal/summer retail position offering up to 40 hours a week. The majority of work available is in Southwest Harbor, with room for the right individual in Northeast Harbor as well. Due to the nature of the job we are looking for people 21 years of age and up, who can lift boxes of wine (about 40lbs) and big wheels of cheese.

We are so excited to help you get all the wine and cheese your heart desires, while also allowing our hardworking staff to enjoy some much deserved family and down time, so we have some laid back hours coming up. Join us in Northeast Harbor on Saturday, December 7th from 10-5 to celebrate the Northeast Harbor Christmas Festival! We will be pouring something sparkly, serving some delights from our cheese case, and enjoying the festivities in town!

Southwest Harbor is open Monday- Friday 10-5 and closed Saturday & Sunday

Northeast Harbor is open Monday - Friday 10-5, Saturday 10-2, and closed on Sunday

Sawyer's Specialties will be serving samples of various wines from Ray's new book.
