2 hours of cutting fireweed from the garden.
7 hours of separating the leaves, flowers, and unopened buds.
9 hours of crushing leaves.
Results: 1/2 pint of fireweed capers, enough fireweed tea for 1 batch of jelly, and a huge mixing bowl full + 1/2 a Tupperware container for ivan chai.

Boy fireweed sure is hard work!!

Y'all pray for me that this ivan chai doesn't develop mold!! I've gotta let it ferment for 3-4 days and often times mold appears!

7 hours later and I have a banana box full of leaves. Starting the wilting process so I can start fermenting them tomorrow for ivan chai.
4 cups of flowers to be turned into a tea overnight for jelly. I ended up with a 1/2 pint jar of unopened buds that I'll pickle and make capers. And last but not least I have a huge stack of stalks that I'm going to research turning into cordage, so hopefully I'll start that process tomorrow.

After one of the longest weeks in my life I finally made it out to my garden.... and look what I found 😳🥰😂 my fireweed EXPLODED folks!!!! Coming soon: Ivan Chai, fireweed jelly and syrup, and new this year fireweed capers 💖 life might be busy but it sure is fun!!! PS: yeah I know there's a banana hidden there... it's for scale so you can grasp how large this pile if fireweed really is 😂😂😂 let the processing begin!! It should only take a few hours 🤣

A quick update: phew I'm absolutely exhausted but my event went great! I met some amazing people, sold some amazing products and hopefully gained some followers! I do have some (not much) leftover product I'll try to post a sale later but I'm exhausted!! And I HAVE to get out to my garden today it's been ignored for a week 🤣. Worst case scenario I'll get a sale and pictures posted tomorrow!

Lavendar Jelly! With candied lavender sprigs on top! None of my blueberries are ripe yet so I didn't add any for the purple color. But it's pretty enough on its own! I think I may forgo the blueberries from now on. I'll get a picture in the sun later this afternoon. Next up red clover or maybe wildflower if I don't get enough clovers 🤣

I'm exhausted and it's only Tuesday!! 🤣 getting ready for my first pop up is both incredibly exciting, and utterly terrifying! I'm only doing a small popup so I won't have a whole lot of product...... but y'all.... I'm so so excited to show you my newest addition to my inventory!! Introducing my Teasers!!!! Tea Teasers, Sugar Teasers and Candy Teasers! These are little sample packs with either, enough tea for an 8 oz hot or iced tea, or a taste of my candied flowers, or enough flower/herb infused sugar for a glass of tea!!! Pictured is my tea basket. I'm still working on my candied flowers and sugar. How cute are these 💖🥰 as always all my products are organically grown or foraged by myself and they are all fully infused with love, protection, and a little kitchen magic 💖

In preparation of our 80+ degree days coming I decided to make a pitcher of crimson beebalm and lemon balm iced tea! This will sit in the fridge overnight and then be tasted. If needed I'll add a little raw honey to sweeten.

I have a limited amount of beebalm available $5 an ounce for leaves $7 an ounce for flowers. I also do sample packs. $1.50 for a tablespoon of leaves or $2 for a tablespoon of flowers. A tablespoon is enough for an 8oz cup of hot or iced tea.

I'll update tonight with the benefits of beebalm it's an amazing plant and really good for you!

Edit for update: I made a wild greens & flowers stir fry to accompany stuffed day lily blossoms. Half the blossoms are stuffed with a dirty rice mixture. The other half are made with a homemade goat milk cream cheese blend with my homegrown herbs. This meal was divine! I swear I eat better than the queen 😂
