We use a cattle panel trellis for our cucumbers. The larger holes allow us to pick from one side . The heavy gauge wire can support the weight at the peak of harvest. We trim the bottom leaves so none are in contact with the ground. We then train them onto the trellis when the vines are long enough to reach. No clips no ties. Drip tape irrigation is then used. No extra trellis work needed after that. Harvest every 2-3 days to keep production rolling.
