Today is International Day of Charity, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by showing a little extra love to our own Spokane community.

When you shop at Main Market, you’re choosing a locally owned, community-owned grocery store that supports local farmers, makers, producers, employees, and neighbors. And this month, you can make that shopping trip go just a little further.

Throughout September, Feed Spokane is our Round Up at the Register recipient. Feed Spokane rescues good food that might otherwise go to waste and gets it to organizations feeding people throughout our community.

So today, we’re asking you to do two very simple things:

🛒 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥. Choose Main Market for your groceries and keep more of your dollars here in our community.
💚 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩. Add those few extra cents at the register and help Feed Spokane get more food where it’s needed.

International Day of Charity may be one day, but taking care of our community is something we can all be part of every day.

Feed Spokane does incredible work right here in our community, rescuing good, nutritious food that might otherwise go to waste and getting it to local organizations serving people who need it.

All month long, when you shop at Main Market Co-op, you can choose to round up your purchase at the register. Those extra few cents add up, and together, our shoppers can help Feed Spokane keep good food on plates and out of the waste stream.

It’s one of the things we love most about being a community-owned grocery store: small actions, multiplied across a whole community, can make a very real difference.

Just tell your cashier you’d like to round up when you check out. 💚
