Let's face it, there are plenty of hatchet jobs out there resulting in websites that suck, suck, suck. And you know, sometimes it's hard to know that your site has been hit by the ugly stick. If you think you're saving money by using a template and piecing something together, you may...but make sure it's the image you wish to present to the world at large. Make sure your idea of pretty matches everyone else's idea of pretty. Otherwise, you might be cutting yourself short. So, please, bring us the ugly.
