The next Morgan Scott Memorial Spring City Farmers Market is this Saturday, August 22, from 9 am to 1 pm on Front Street in Spring City. In case of rain the market is held across the street inside of Watts Bar Beer Works.

Please come out and support these local vendors and support reading programs for children at the Spring City Library at the same time - it is a win-win!!!

Please come out and support the Farmers Market and these local vendors, who in turn support reading programs for children at the library.

Thank you to one of the vendors for bringing a w**d eater and trimming around booths. I met with the town two months ago and was told the lawn could be mowed before the market - I pointed out it is always cleaned up before a festival. This hasn’t been done once. I am sorry to the vendors and patrons - I tried going through proper channels.

I don’t understand how one can’t get behind a program like this totally run by volunteers without profit. This is why I raise the question of fairness.
