Happy Mother’s Day to the woman many of you know simply as “Mimi” here at the market.

My mom and I have never been exactly alike—in fact, we’re probably about as different as two people can be. There have been plenty of times in life where I’m not sure she fully understood me… the way I can get lost in a daydream, the way I can become completely consumed by an idea that probably shouldn’t be my top priority, or my constant need to create and bring things to life. But something far more important than being understood… is being deeply loved. And my mom has always given me that.

She has been the quiet strength behind the scenes. The steady presence. The safe place. The one who showed up, helped carry the weight, and created the kind of love and stability that allowed me to grow into the woman I am today.

I may be the face of the market, but the truth is—without the quiet mother behind me, there would be no market. And I know that the confidence, warmth, and presence so many people feel when they walk through these doors didn’t come from me alone… it was built on the foundation of being loved, supported, and always having somewhere safe to land.

Mom, thank you for being the strength behind so much of what people see today.

It’s my birthday and today I’m feeling especially grateful 🥳

As I reflect on another year of life, I keep coming back to this — this market, and this community, are such a gift.

What we’re building here is so much more than a place to shop. It’s connection. It’s trust. It’s families choosing better, supporting local, asking questions, and coming back to the way things were meant to be.

I get a front row seat to the conversations, the relationships, the care that goes into every product, every farmer, every maker… and it honestly humbles me.

This is good work. Real work. The kind that matters.

Thank you for being part of it. For showing up, for believing in what we’re doing, and for making this little market something really special.

Our Bernie boy is 9 months old 🐾

I truly cannot believe how fast this season has gone. From a fluffy little 20-pound baby to a 100-pound gentle giant, he has grown into the sweetest, most steady soul. He is calm, affectionate, goofy in the best way, and so incredibly good with people — especially our kids.

What makes it even more special is watching him step into his role as the market’s mascot. The way customers light up when they see him… the way he patiently lets everyone say hello… he brings this warm, grounding presence that feels exactly like what we want our space to be.

He’s more than a dog. He’s part of our family, part of our story, and part of the heart behind the market.

Happy 9 months, Bernie 🤍 We love you big, sweet boy.

From 3 months to 6 months—and somehow already the heart of the market. Bernie has grown right alongside our day-to-day life here, greeting familiar faces, soaking up belly rubs, and strategically laying himself right in front of the door so no one comes or goes without giving him pets.

Your love, kindness, and time mean the world to him (and to me). He truly knows he’s part of something special—and with his calm, grounding energy, he reminds us all to slow down and be present 🤍
