Fassnight Creek Farm is a family-owned and operated farm located in the heart of Springfield. We grow many varieties of vegetables, fruit and flowers as well as ornamentals for fall decorating. It has been in vegetable production for nearly a century and we've farmed the land for the past 35 years.

It's officially that time of year where we are preparing to close down for the season. During the last week of the 2026 season, we are placing ALL plants on sale! Yep, you heard that right- all remaining mums, succulents, perennials, combo pots, ect are 50% off until we close at 6pm on Saturday. We do still have apples, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, winter squash and other veggies available in the farm stand. We are OPEN Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm this week. Dan just got a fresh new batch of apples in which means we currently have 9 different varieties of apples available at the farm stand. You know what that means? That means it's finally time for all the apple things and here's a few of my favorites:

Are you like me and need ALL the pumpkins on your porch? If so, you're in luck. We decided to try something new this year: fill your own bin with pumpkins, gourds, squash, etc. A full bin of any pumpkins you choose (exclusions could apply) for $250. Well it's officially fall! The weather is finally cooperating (as much as you can expect it to here in good ol MO) and we have ALL the fall the things. Dan has been bringing in the most beautiful flowers and mums all week. Stop in on this gorgeous Saturday to check out all the pumpkins, mums, celosia and displays that we've been working on. It is a beautiful Saturday morning here at the farm! And while it may still feel like summer today, my brain is in full fall mode. So swing in today and pick some zinnias, stock up on food for the week or check out all the super cute pumpkins Dan brought in this week. It's starting to look like fall here at the farm, now it's just gotta start feeling like it! We've started bringing in all the fall things: apples, pears, pumpkins, gourds, mums, etc. That being said, if you're still craving peaches, you better get them while you can! We brought our last load in this week, so once they're gone, they are gone til next year. We are OPEN today til 6, Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm. If you're like me and are still canning tomato products for the winter, you're in luck! Dan brought in these beautiful Roma tomatoes. They are $30 for a 25 lb box and are perfect for making pasta sauce! We do have a limited quantity available so be sure to call the farm stand directly to confirm availability. Remember, the canning season for tomatoes is coming to a close so be sure to get them while ya can 😄 We are OPEN Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm.

Dan, Steve and Reuben are sampling watermelons today! This is always my favorite episode every summer cause I get to eat all the watermelon that's left in the cooler. 😂 It's gonna be a real hot week so if you haven't had a watermelon yet this year or you want to try something different, now's the time!

The August heat has many craving watermelons. Fassnight Creek Farms' Dan Bigbee looks at a few of the varieties.
