It has been a difficult but necessary decision to reach, but we are suspending and not continuing operations of the Springfield Riverside Farmers Market for 2025. We would like to continue with support and patronage from the community.
Our vendors simply can not continue operation at this venue at a daily loss, with so few patrons.
Our vendors expend 10-12 hours per week in labor to offer their products at the Springfield Riverside Farmers Market Market [Tuesdays - 3 hours 3-6PM] with 5-18 patrons per day in 2024. The patronage/past sales currently, does not support the continuation of the farmers market. Most vendors have not chosen to return in 2025.
Additional vendors are very reluctant to apply and attend, the Springfield Riverside Farmers Market with very low community support and turnouts/sales from patrons.
Weed'em & Reap will continue to provide delivery to Springfield MN of their products with online, phone, or text orders.
Past patrons, thank your for your support and patcipitation at the farmers market, unfortunately due to the real economics of the situation, operation can not and will not continue in 2025 of the Springfield Riverside Farmers Market. Possibly returning in 2026 with additional vendors and increased community support.
