who is Our Farm

Our Farm is owned and operated by Aron Gonsalves and Laura Young. Aron and Laura moved to Maine after spending their twenties on the sunny island of Oahu, where they first focused on their culinary careers, then opened a garden supply store primarily based on hydroponics and aquaponics. The two learned about small – scale urban farming and worked with the Department of Education to establish gardens for local schools. Nearly 10 years later, they were ready to take on the challenge of a homestead. Their search for land brought them to Maine. Whether you are shopping for free range eggs, grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, chicken or fresh vegetables and mushrooms, Our Farm will have what you need. Our Farm was determined that cooperative farming was to be their mission, ‘Our Farm’ was simply named to pay respect and give thanks to all those who have made and will make it a success. Currently Our Farm is in collaboration with farms along Hanson Ridge, a unique place where 14 farms are nestled along a stretch of fertile soil. Look for goods from various farms and producers to be supported by this business. Our Farm is Maine's first Farm Hub, focusing on supporting farmers and the community around the farms; think of it as ‘Agriculture Supported Communities’.
