Wow, last week we hit 10,000 followers on Instagram! We’re so grateful for all the support we’ve gained along the way in our mission of building a local food community.

One program we’re especially proud to offer is our pay-it-forward program, but it’s entirely dependent on contributions and we need your help to keep it running! If you’re in a position to throw in a few extra bucks at checkout, we’ll be so happy to pass it along as a voucher for someone to use to cover their grocery costs. (We also accept donations online, visit our website through the link in our bio)

This program is a great reflection of our community’s values. When we rally together we can help make local, sustainable, nutritious food accessible to more people. We couldn’t do this without you 💚

This , don't sleep on our bulk section! Pantry essentials, herbs & spices, coffee & tea, cleaning supplies, and a whole lot more- all ready to go in your refillable container. Recently revamped for an even better customer experience and still full of everything you need!

🛒 More room to navigate with a smaller middle table and shorter outer shelf
👝 Drawers for scoops and bags put them right where you need them but also out of the way
🧴 Improved liquid dispensers mean filling up your soap bottle isn't such a chore
⚖️ New scale is sturdier and harder to knock over, lol
🧂 New items like bulk sunscreen and more herbs & spices

Plastic-free health & beauty products? Check the other side of the bulk shelves for toothpaste tablets, dental floss refills, deodorant cubes, shampoo and conditioner bars, and local bar soaps.

Don't stop there! Bring in your own bags to refill with our fresh, local produce, like loose salad greens, local microgreens, unboxed mushrooms, and all sorts of unpackaged veggies. No styrofoam packaging here 🚫

As always, if you bring in your own containers we'll weigh them at the register first so you don't get charged for their weight when they're filled. Forgot your container? No sweat, we've got so many donated ones sanitized, tared, and ready to fill.

What’s in the new cooler at Local Harvest? Just more fresh foods made in-house using the best local and organic ingredients! Our prepared foods team has been hard at work the last couple years perfecting our lineup of sandwiches, salads, wraps, dips, and more. These options have been available in our original grab & go cooler, but now they have their own dedicated spot with room to grow!

Gonna brag a bit here, as there are just so many great things about our prepared foods program:
1. reducing food waste. We’ve become experts at giving our “inglorious” produce new life- no tomato goes to waste around here
2. easy seasonal eating. We’re always thinking of new ways to incorporate seasonal produce and update our offerings as the seasons change
3. high quality ingredients. We use the same local and organic ingredients we sell, so you know it’s going to be good
4. low overhead. Restaurant quality foods without the restaurant price tag. Everything we make is also EBT eligible!
5. inclusive options. Omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free customers all have options here

We are just so proud of what we’ve been able to do with this still relatively new program and our very small space. It’s honestly incredible what our staff can accomplish. Can’t wait to keep filling this baby up with more fresh, local food!
