About Our Days and Hours:
Our hours vary depending on weather and work at the farm. Pumpkin season is also apple season so there's lots of work to do! We have apples, pumpkins and other fall decor items, gifts and candy baskets too. We are usually open weekends, but other times it is best to give a call or a Facebook message to set up an appointment. We want to be sure that we can get you th
e punkins that you need! Sometimes we have special events, wagon rides and such. Of course these also depend on weather too. Keep an eye on our page for the latest information. Who We Are and What We Do:
At Grampaw's we don't go much for the gory Halloween stuff. We are more about the beauty of the autumn season and the celebration of the blessing of rural life. It is a safe place for the little ones to pick out their own special punkin. It is a lot better setting than the store aisle at WalMart. Used to be about every kid had a Grampaw's farm to visit. Farms are bigger and more industrialized and not many Grampaws farm anymore. Our goal is to be a Grampaw's farm to visit and enjoy today. Prices:
We sell punkins, but our most important product is memories. For payments we take cash, Venmo and can do Paypal. Grampaw is gonna get set up for credit cards one of these days but so far it hasn't happened. Every year some folks say the prices are high and others say how can you sell things so cheap. I guess that's how we know we're somewhere in the ballpark. We aren't going to be millionaires selling punkins. Our costs have gone way up like everything else. We can't compete with the big retailers on price. We hope we offer something more than just buying a pumpkin. We don't charge an admission. We aren't an amusement park. If you enjoyed a wagon ride or some other activity and want to toss a free will donation in the box that is great. It helps us cover the costs. Totally up to you. Our community is important to us. This year 10% of the profits goes to the new Stanton Child Resource Center. A Safe Visit to Whitetail Valley Farm:
Whitetail Valley Farm is a working farm. We provide a safe experience for our guests but we aren't a city park. There are the usual hazards that are part of rural areas, rough ground, wet grass, slippery mud and all the things you might find out in the country. Out in the rougher areas there are thorn bushes and possibly some poison ivy too. Please be careful! Watch the kids and follow instructions and we all will have a fun and safe time together! Pets:
If you bring your pet to the farm it must be under control on a leash. Animals get nervous in unfamiliar surroundings. We don't want your pet to hurt anyone or get hurt themselves. We're on a busy road going into the park and trucks pulling fifth wheel trailers can't stop quickly. There are lots of acres where a pet could get lost trying to chase a rabbit. We want pets to be safe too. Just Ask! If there's anything that you would like to know, or an idea for something fun to do, don't be afraid to ask! Thanks for checking us out. We're looking forward to your visit!
