I was DESPERATE to find places for all of this chicken! What a great problem to have!

Can I let you in on a little secret??

I sell these big packs of chicken backs, and they are AMAZING for making homemade chicken broth. I’ve canned mine AND frozen it. When I freeze it, I pour it into ice cube trays, then transfer the frozen cubes into a big freezer bag. That way, I can just grab a few cubes at a time whenever I need broth for a recipe!

BUT… here’s the hack:

There is SO much meat on these chicken backs that I have absolutely pulled the meat right off the bones and used it to make chicken fajitas. 🫣 And I’ve done it multiple times now!

At just $2/lb, you’re getting a super inexpensive meal AND making homemade chicken broth from the same pack.

So don’t overlook those chicken backs! They might just be one of the best deals in the freezer.

Today we are open 12 PM–6 PM!

We are trying to keep our inventory as low as possible while we prepare for our move(HOPEFULLY MOVE - not a done deal yet), so if you’ve been meaning to stock up, now is the time! The less I have to pack, load and move, the happier I’ll be. 😂🙌

We have been incredibly busy and have met SO many new customers since the news about imported beef being allowed, and because of that, we have been selling out of things very quickly!

I’m trying to find the sweet spot between keeping enough inventory available for everyone and not having a freezer full of product to move when we relocate. So please bear with me as I navigate the next few weeks!

‼️‼️‼️‼️Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st, we will be closing at 4 PM so I can pick up our chicken restock! 🍗‼️‼️‼️‼️

We will also have a small beef restock this week, and I’ll be deciding whether or not we want to bring in one more cow before we move.

With that being said, we will not be having any bulk beef sales anytime soon. Our lamb sale is still going on, and our beef shanks and beef short ribs are still on sale!

So come see me today, help me empty some freezers, and save me some heavy lifting!😂❤️

We will be closing right at noon today.

We’re saying goodbye to our last horse, and while it’s definitely a little bittersweet, sometimes you just have to make the decisions that make the most sense for your farm and your family.

We had a somewhat rough year, with five of our cows not calving. Add in having a baby and simply not having the time to work with the horses the way they deserve, and we decided it was best to cut back and lessen our feed bill going into the winter.

It’s not always easy, and it’s definitely not always what you imagined farming would look like - but this is farming. You make the best decisions you can with what you have, and you keep moving forward. ❤️

LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVES - WE’RE PAM, JAMIE & JAMIE III (Tripp) ! ❤️

If you’re new around here, we wanted to take a minute to introduce ourselves and share a little bit about how Legendary Livestock & Legendary Market came to be.

In 2021, we took a leap of faith and started Legendary Livestock. What began as a simple dream has grown into a life we truly love - raising quality cattle, producing our own food, and building something we can be proud of.

We’ve learned firsthand how important it is to understand where your food comes from and how it’s raised. That’s a huge part of why we do what we do.

At Legendary Livestock, we believe good food starts with good care - open pastures, healthy animals, quality feed, and a whole lot of hard work. It isn’t always easy, but it’s honest, and we take a lot of pride in doing things the right way.

Over the years, we started offering our beef, pork, and chicken by the ¼, ½, or whole animal. But we realized that buying that much meat at once simply isn’t financially realistic for every family.

That’s where Legendary Market came in.

We officially opened our farm store in July 2025. We had this building built, jumped through what felt like a million hoops with the county to get licensed, and worked hard to create a place where our community could purchase our homegrown beef, pork, chicken and lamb by the package.

This was something that was really important to me. I wanted to make the food we work so hard to raise accessible to more families - not just those who can afford to purchase an entire animal at once.

I’m the owner/operator of Legendary Market, so you’ll primarily see me, Pam, running the store. Jamie definitely helps behind the scenes, but he also owns and operates Ground Breaking Excavating, so he stays plenty busy with that!

Then, in November, life threw us another big adventure when we welcomed our baby, Jamie III - better known as Tripp into the world. ❤️ We had to temporarily close the market while I recovered and adjusted to life as a new mom, but as soon as I was back on my feet, we opened our doors again.

And we are SO thankful we did.

Since reopening, we’ve been lucky enough to meet so many new people, make connections throughout our community, and even gain regular customers who have become familiar faces every time they walk through our doors. 🥹

We’re still growing. We’re still learning. We’re still figuring things out as we go.

But at the heart of it all, we’re just a small family trying to build something meaningful while raising quality, honest food for our community.
