Our Story

We are Adam and Mecca Lowe and we have grown organic vegetables for almost ten years. We moved back to the Elkin area in 2013 and we have two young children, ages 6 and 4. We have a passion for farming vegetables and decided to start sharing the fruits of our labor with our local community. We are both teachers in our "day jobs," and operate the farm in the afternoons, weekends, and full-time during the summer months. We grow a large variety of vegetables and some fruits using organic growing techniques. We sell our produce through our Farm Club (CSA) in which members receive a weekly box of vegetables during the growing season, at some local farmers markets including Elkin (Sat.), Dobson (Thurs.), and from our farm in Mountain Park.

We call our farm a nature farm because it represents our core beliefs and values that nature is a sacred and essential part of our lives and should be treated with respect. We use open land for production, while also maintaining wildlife habitat through reforestation, protection of our watershed, and mindfulness about any way that our production could harm nature.
