October 17th is National Pasta Day, a glorious excuse to carb-load and celebrate one of the world's most beloved foods. Noodles are all over the world, but pasta is a type of noodle of traditional Italian cuisine. The first reference dates back to 1154 in Sicily. Typically, pasta is made from an unleavened dough of durum wheat flour. The flour is then mixed with water or eggs & formed into sheets or various shapes. Each bag of these, which were produced in Caserta, Italy, is just $2.49 at Ellis Meats.
