To our dear customers and supporters:
Sadly, the time has come where we must say goodnight to our beloved bakery/café and pizzeria. We have tried our best, offering true farm to table fare, but considering the difficulties we have endured with the many changing faces of covid, we have no other choice but to step back, and re-envision what Newtown Baking and Kitchen can be into the future.
We will remain open to the public:
Saturday, December 18:
8am-2pm (bakery, café, lunch)
5pm-9pm (dinner)
Wednesday, December 22:
8am-2pm (bakery, café, lunch)
5pm-9pm (dinner)
Thursday, December 23:
8am-2pm (bakery, café, lunch)
5pm-9pm (dinner)
Friday, December 24:
8am-12 pm: (bakery, café)
Wednesday, December 29:
8am-2pm (bakery, café, lunch)
5pm-9pm (dinner)
Thursday, December 30:
8am-2pm: (bakery, café, lunch)
5pm-9pm (dinner)
The Local Food Drive Thru (LFDT), with bakery pre-order, will continue as before, so in January you can still count on ordering your favorite sourdough breads, pastries, and farm goodies for
pick up on Wednesdays and Fridays. Special events and wholesale customers will also continue to be served by Newtown Baking.
Happy to pass the baton, so if you or someone you know might be interested in taking over what has become a Staunton favorite over the years, please let us know. We look forward to hearing others' ideas and will entertain offers at this juncture in time.
We have appreciated serving our community with fresh foods from our local farms, with the vision that our Shenandoah Valley will someday become truly food self-sufficient.
