We will be at Farmers Market tomorrow morning at 8 am in the Bomgaars Parking lot with corn, cantaloupe, tomatoes and peppers and at Sugar Beet Days starting at 9 am with corn, pumpkins, cantaloupe, watermelons, gourds and flowers by Abby Lane Flower Farm! 🌽🍈🫑🍅🎃🌸🌷🌼

The most asked question we have been asked lately is “How much longer will you have corn?”

The short answer is a long time, but the reasoning behind that is a little more complex - We practice succession planting in staged intervals in the Spring and early Summer. This year we have 12 seperate plantings and right now we are currently harvesting plantings 8 and 9. So you can count on us having corn through the end of September!

With 2 plantings coming on at the same time, we have so much corn right now! If you need bulk freezing orders, this weekend would be a great time. Let’s us know and we will fill it for you 🌽🌽🌽

We will have an abundance of corn and cantaloupe at the Logan County Farmers Market tomorrow starting at 8 in the Bomgaars parking lot. We will also have tomatoes and peppers and beautiful flower arrangements from Abby Lane Flower Farm!!

Picking corn at 5:00 am when it’s 50 degrees feels like grabbing ice cubes! 🧊🧊🧊 BUT the cool weather makes extra sweet sweet corn 🌽 We will be at the Logan County Farmers Market this afternoon in the Bomgaars parking lot starting at 4:30! We picked extra so we’re hoping not to run out as quickly tonight. We will have corn, cantaloupe, tomatoes and peppers! See you there!!

We were so busy picking corn, cantaloupe, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, we forgot to take a picture to post tonight….so here’s a cool photo of Randy’s Grandfather Walter Smith and Great Grandfather with a load of watermelons in the very early 1900s! We still pick them the same way…one at a time! See you tomorrow at the Logan County Farmers Market in the Bomgaars parking lot at 8:00 AM.

It’s officially melon season! Come see us tonight at the Logan County Farmer’s Market in the Bomgaars parking lot starting at 4:30. We will have lots of sweet corn, cantaloupe, a few watermelons, peppers and tomatoes 🌽🍈🍉🫑🍅 We have no pre orders today so first come first serve, but we’re taking orders for Saturday! Send us a message to reserve your order for Saturday.
